I think they should use the money on improving the game itself rather than marketing it with female Garrett figures.

I mean, logically, this cannot be fan work, because T4 cannot have fans because it does not exist.

It's pretty cool cosplay. However, it also highlights how feminine nuGarrett's costume actually is....

Nice work if this is indeed the work of a fan and not EM throwing more money at fashion designers. I certainly wouldn't know where to start with making an outfit like that.

Although it might look cool it is completely impractical for a thief to wear. All that leather would make garrett or anyone too hot Not ideal when one would need a cool head to consentrate on the environment and strategize on the spot. Also over heating would cause one to sweat. Sweat would then seep in to said leather and cause it to squeek upon every movement. I suppose the guards could always mistake it for rats!

Maybe Bikerdude could confirm this as I assume he wears quite a bit of leather when riding motorcycles?

Here is a more practical outfit for thieving in-

An excerpt from To Pay The Rent by theBkackman aka Dust Leer:

First the clothing. Soft tightly woven, light wool tights. A long sleeved turtleneck of the same material with a pullover facemask. There were no eyeholes in this hood. A panel of cheesecloth netting ran from ear to ear at eye level. This allowed vision but no possible reflection from the whites of the eyes if hit by light from a torch or lantern.

I admit that it doesn't sound quite as cool as garrett's new outfit looks but isn't that the whole point of being a thief? Your not supposed to be seen?!?!

I'm not sure this is completely right. I mean the thief is out at night, and as the setting goes fairly into a medieval direction, one could take into consideration that the temperatures back in those days were lower. And you do not automatically sweat just because you wear leather.

Leather is elastic but stiff. What I mean is, that you can move quite freely within it, but it supports you, too. For example I still have my leather boots from the army (Bundeswehr, as we call it), and they are pretty good for uneven ground. I guess it would also have some advantages wearing leather if you are going to make your way over some rooftops or whatever.

In addition, leather was always used as a simple and cheap armor. It's not as solid as metal, though, but it's not heavy and still provides a limited amount of protection. You can stick through it or cut it with a blade, but I guess if the wearer only receives a simple blow with a sword, the leather may resist it.

leather creaks when its waterproofed with dubbin, but waterproofing also stops the black polish from coming off the leather, which is normally a lighter color depending on what type of leather it is, either cow or sheep, horse. the leather she's wearing is probably synthetic leather. cos you have to wear leather in for quite a while before it goes supple, and you have to keep wearing it to keep it supple else it goes stiff.

Its more like Garretts outfit would be a strong matt black cloth, with leather wrist guard for bow use, and leather on palms of hands, and ditch all the metal work cos it would scrape and rattle.

Finally got my PC back from the shop after my SSD got corrupted a week ago and damaged my motherboard. Scary stuff, but thank goodness it happened right after two months of FM development instead of wiping all my work before I could release it. New SSD, repaired Motherboard and BIOS, and we're ready to start working on my second FM with some added version control in the cloud just to be safe!

I've updated the articles for your FMs and your author category at the wiki. Your newer nickname (DeTeEff) now comes first, and the one in parentheses is your older nickname (Fieldmedic). Just to avoid confusing people who played your FMs years ago and remember your older nickname. I've added a wiki article for your latest FM, Who Watches the Watcher?, as part of my current updating efforts. Unless I overlooked something, you have five different FMs so far.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.
