Ishtvan
Hi everyone! I am working on a contract for a small gaming company that involves exporting animation data (bones, verts, etc) from Blender into a custom format. I can do the custom formatting, but I'm still trying to figure out the best place to start with the script to acquire the animation data. I found some things that worked in earlier versions of blender, but am still trying to find one that works for sure in 2.67. Does anyone here happen to have experience with this? Here is a link that I think may be helpful but I don't know enough about it yet:http://www.blender.o...93874a149adcb4b

Arcturus
I wont be much help. It's a technical question and I don't know anything about coding and I never had to export animations from Blender to other formats except md5.anim. Every version of Blender is shipped with couple of export scripts for various animation formats. So as a complete layman I would say check how they work. Or export animations and then convert them. Ishtvan
Thanks! That is pretty much the approach I'm taking, looking at how the existing export scrips work. The main obstacle now is that I have to learn python well enough to do this. @Bikerdude: Thanks for the welcome. I have been lurking from time to time, just not saying much. I just got an apartment with enough space to set up my PC so I might even be able to run the mod again!

Ishtvan
Thanks! I'm getting a handle on it now, fortunately. If anyone needs help exporting Blender animations in the future, they can ask me, and I'll have a slightly better than zero chance of knowing the answer.
