Need Beta Testers for Steele #2 and #3

I'm getting close to being ready for beta on both of these, so I thought I'd line up some beta testers.

I can either finish Home Again first, get that through beta, release it, then finish Cleighmoor, get that through beta, and release it ...

 

... or ...

 

finish both, put them into beta at the same time, and release them together.

 

I'm open to opinions on the best way to go.

I got plenty of time on my hands these days, so I can Beta test for you too :D

(Not on my machine, In Europé, but it works excellent )

My hobby built desktop is: XFX Play Hard-nVidia nForce 790i Ultra SLI

Onboard is:

CPU: Intel Socket 775

VGA: nVidia GeForce EVGA GTX-260

RAM: DDRIII 16Gb

HDD: 2 Tb

OS: 64bit Win 8.1

All service packs and latest drivers installed.

Thanks to all volunteers.

 

Before someone asks, these 2 missions will not be "campaigned".

 

If I have enough steam left at the end, I'll go back and bundle all the missions into a campaign. By then, however, I might be at the point where the highlight of my day in the "home" will be the evening pudding and perhaps a visit from grandchildren I don't remember.

I'd be happy to test for you Grayman, if you've still got slots open. I'd say release them one at a time, so people don't get indecisive about which to play if they get stuck in one... but that's just me.

Whatever you think is best for you Gman. Although I would think that beta-testing them one at a time would be best for you because you could give your full attention to each mission as opposed to having your attention divided by the two.

I maybe able to help you with that also, as I learned how string 3 maps together on TDM2.0 version of nhat. With this campaign it was very easy as I only had to worry about with items and weapons were being carried over etc.

Campaigning it may only make sense once all missions are released.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
