If you want to 'pay' or 'donate' for TDM, you can do so, but without money.

We accept all kinds of contributions from the community, especially mapping is nice. Make a small FM if you want to reward the TDM folks. We love it when new people pick up Dark Radiant and start mapping away. Here is a great tutorial which should teach you almost all that is needed:

Don't hesistate to ask help on the forums, too, we have a bunch of mapper veterans who gladly help newbies out.

Cheers!

You should advertise it a bit more.

There are still hardcore gamers out there that they are unaware of the TDM. Even I forgot about your project which I repeat Thief Series every two years.

Your work is phenomenal and more gamers should enjoy this diamond.

Many thanks to all the contributors, I'll try to assist you in any way possible.

Spread the love!

I just have to chip in here - a huge THANK YOU for the modders and creators of TDM!

Having been a long time fan of the Thief series, I had heard a lot about TDM, but never got around to getting Doom 3, and generally skeptical of mods. But this is so good now - I love the setting, the darkness of it, and the fact it's Thief with a lot of improvements, not just graphics-wise. Love the mission downloader too, very flexible and open system.

Seriously, you guys should go for Steam and maybe even getting some $$$ for it - I know I'd pay for quality like this.

... even if my first post was a bug lol, but at least it's free :P

Thanks guys!

Thanks, will check that out and perhaps dip into mapping as well. Keep up the great work.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
