What other games do you play?

Risen

Well besides TDM I also play:

- Risen (PC)

Forgot to add that to my list, great game too. :)

I played Risen on the 360. I really liked it but...

I pissed off some trainer guy by being a smart ass, and he made me sweep every room to resume my training. I swear I swept every damned room, but he insisted that I wasn't done yet. I haven't had the motivation to start over again.

I never buy just released new games, I buy almost always from steam discounts when the game price hits around 5-10 euros. That's a good price for a game, those ~40-50 euros for a new game is robbery! Wait 6 months and you get it for 5-10.

I feel the same way about games that I'm only moderately interested in. If it's an absolutely amazing game, then I want to pay the company who made it full price to promote a good sequel. Someone once put it as "voting with your money." Edited by SirGen

Games I'm playing

DayZ (vanilla, Epoch, Namalsk) - can't wait for standalone

Shadow Warrior (the new one. Here's hoping this game succeeds and we see a new Blood game)

Sengoku

TDM

MechWarrior Living Legends

Games I need to finish

Shogun 2

Sonic 4

Deus Ex IW

and about 50 others... in good time.

Kerbal space program has got to be the game I played the most in my life. So at the moment I'm playing that, of course, TDM and FEZ (I'm getting tired of this one). But I recently played hitman: absolution too.

Nacht7's comment is making me interested in playing splinter cell games. I LOVE espionage novels and never paid much attention to this franchise.

I'm not sure how to really answer this because I generally don't play the same game for forever. I do play the Stalker games pretty often though, although I'm kind of burnt out at the moment after finishing the first game with a mod. Currently playing Death to Spies which is essentially Hitman in WWII Germany. Playing through Quake and Dark Souls at the moment too.

I'm all over the place, as far as which types of games I play. Shooters, sneakers (T1, T2 and TDM only), etc. Though I do tend to revisit games I like on a regular basis, no matter if they are old.

Recently, I've been playing these:

  • Project I.G.I. (via Wine)
  • HL and HL2 and expansions (Steam for Linux)
  • Kerbal Space Program (I just build lousy rockets and blast Kerbs off to their doom)
  • Duke3D Megaton ed. (Steam/Linux)...got Shadow Warrior (classic) also, but not re-playing it yet.
  • Champions of Regnum (been several months since playing...Steam)
  • Doom, Doom2, Quake, Q2 - I fire each of these up from time to time
  • No Limits Coasters - roller coaster track sim (not a 'theme-park' sim), via Wine
  • SMC (Secret Maryo Chronicles)

System: Mageia Linux Cauldron, aka Mageia 8

Re: Kerbal. Since I'm a sim fan, I play Orbiter sometimes... It also has a lot of mods. I was thinking KSP looked a bit cartoonish and wouldn't hold up to Orbiter; it's not as hardcore. But after watching some videos I'm thinking that's not the right way to think about it. KSP adds a lot of color and fun to it, plus there's the construction part of it which isn't in Orbiter at all, and is most of the fun it seems of KSP. So maybe I'll pick it up. I have to imagine, if I already like Orbiter, I'll like KSP too.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Yeah, I think the only reason I kept playing ksp for so long is the engineering aspect of it (if we can call it that). Exploration and orbital dynamics get old soon, but challenging yourself to create efficient vehicles or complex contraptions, that is never ending fun.

Well technically it's ToH SA, but yeah I get what you're saying. Sadly, I think it'll have the same problems the current mod does - being a mod. Current architecture = beartrap thunderdome, server nukes, parachuting cows, invisible axe murderers... it's pretty bad. It is possible to play Zooombies at the moment, but it seems quite primitive even compared to early DayZmod versions (at the time I last checked up on it, your character didn't save.. if you wanted to keep your gear, you needed a tent to store it in between sessions).

The possibilities of the standalone are amazing... if the damn thing would just come out already! <_<

Finally got my PC back from the shop after my SSD got corrupted a week ago and damaged my motherboard. Scary stuff, but thank goodness it happened right after two months of FM development instead of wiping all my work before I could release it. New SSD, repaired Motherboard and BIOS, and we're ready to start working on my second FM with some added version control in the cloud just to be safe!

I've updated the articles for your FMs and your author category at the wiki. Your newer nickname (DeTeEff) now comes first, and the one in parentheses is your older nickname (Fieldmedic). Just to avoid confusing people who played your FMs years ago and remember your older nickname. I've added a wiki article for your latest FM, Who Watches the Watcher?, as part of my current updating efforts. Unless I overlooked something, you have five different FMs so far.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.
