taaaki
Well, it's probably a bit late now for pre-testing the update, but we'd like to know about any issues when running TDM 2.01 on Linux. PranQster
LOL...never got asked to test it. Now 2.0.1 is out and that stinking Quicksave/Quickload bug is back. Too bad about not getting a chance to test it.I was running 2.0.1beta previous to tonight and wasn't having that issue. But maybe I didn't do enough quicksave/loads during that time to notice it. PranQster
I also noticed that going under water drops the framerate dramatically. Was in the interior tunnel in siegeshop and entered the river. It went from 60-80fps to about 12-15fps as soon as I was underwater. I would have noticed that before and so would have lowenz. Yeah, apologies about that, I was busy sorting out some of the server stuff, so I didn't check the General section of the forums until after the release. Regarding the Quicksave/Quickload, are you referring to these issues:http://bugs.thedarkmod.com/view.php?id=3649http://bugs.thedarkmod.com/view.php?id=3632 If so, we're still working on it. Also, we'd like to know if the performance issue is general or if it is just affecting you Quote I am the bat. The night is mine.
PranQster
Neither of those. TDM doesn't crash. The first time I choose quicksave, I get the normal 'game saved' message with the appropriate barely-noticeable pause during that save. Some time later, after another quicksave, I choose to quickload and there is no response...like I never pressed the button.I check the console and have:Warning: idSaveGame::WriteObject -WriteObject FindIndex failedWarning: Couldn't open savegame file savegames/Quicksave.save I can still play the game, but quicksave/load no longer functions. taaaki
Could you please run TDM with '+set fs_debug 1', try the quicksave/quickload and then go to the console and type "path" (at least I think it's that). Then 'condump' the log and put it on pastie.org for me? Thanks. Quote I am the bat. The night is mine.
PranQster
Will do.Hmmm. Will have to test more. I had no issues with quicksave/load this time. lost_soul
Actually, it seems like 2.01 runs smoother than previous versions! Did you guys do anything to speed up the game, or is it all in my head? Quote --- War does not decide who is right, war decides who is left.
