Vote for Moonbo!

Hey guys,

So as you may have heard, Square-Enix and Amazon are hosting a Thief Modding Contest to celebrate the release of the new Thief game (here's the official announcement that Springheel posted). Well, the submission deadline has passed and they've posted the finalists on the contest page for people to vote on.

I submitted two videos to the contest, and it looks like my TDM FM 'Requiem' is one of the 11 finalists. It's the only finalist made with The Dark Mod and right now it's actually polling in first place by a very narrow margin, so every vote counts!

If you feel inspired to vote, all you have to do is to go to the contest page here:

http://www.amazon.co...ocId=1001928521

The voting options are on the right, and mine is the one that says "Thief Mod - Gelo F". If you want to see the videos of the contestants, just scroll down a bit towards the bottom of the page and you can view them all.

You can find the TDM thread for Requiem here, and here's some screenshots that AluminumHaste took in case you haven't played it yet:

I've voted for you.

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

Voted. Your are currently on rank 2 (25%) behind Joachim S (26%). I guess you can beat him. ;)

GOOD LUCK.

Votes are still open it seems. I voted this morning. Submissions are closed, but they might not close voting at all given it's just a popularity indicator, not the way the winners will be chosen.

Someone should email PCGamer and see if we can swing the vote by virture of sheer numbers in MooBo favour then.

Also voted for you! Not just because of the TDM but because I found your vid the best. Also I have to admit that some other pieces were very interesting. Considering that, somehow, it seems to me a bit unjust to have only one vote at disposal. Good luck!

You cannot receive PMs. Could you please be so kind and check your mailbox if it is full (or maybe you switched off the function)?

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).

Well then, it's been about a week since I released my first FM and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by its reception. I had expected half as much interest in my short little FM as I received and even less when it came to positive feedback, but I am glad that the aspects of my mission that I put the most heart into were often the most appreciated. It was also delightful to read plenty of honest criticism and helpful feedback, as I've already been given plenty of useful pointers on improving my brushwork, level design, and gameplay difficulty.
I've gotten back into the groove of chipping away at my reading and game list, as well as the endless FM catalogue here, but I may very well try my hand at the 15th anniversary contest should it materialize. That is assuming my eyes are ready for a few more months of Dark Radiant's bright interface while burning the midnight oil, of course!
