New Wolf Trailer

This game gets leaning right, and there's lockpicking. It looks it's regenerating health though, no points there. I did like the old school homage with BJ having blood on his face for the "maniac route" instead of the "stealth route". Shooting through solid objects to kill enemies is also pretty sweet.

This game does look pretty cool! Although the whole nazi theme is starting to get a bit stale in FPS I think it's pretty cool that they decided to take it in a different approach ala them winning the war and having access to some futuristic technology.

I'm really curious to see what they do with Doom as well.

Also the link you posted doesn't work ;)

Neat trailer, shame about the game. I'll never support Bethesda again after the Prey 2 fiasco and the latest Oculus nonsense. Zenimax has some of the worst business practices in the games industry.

Luckily, Wolfy looks derivative; mechanically and thematically vapid so it won't be hard giving this one a pass.

Zenimax are indeed scum, however gamers as a whole aren't one to punish companies by boycotting their games. If they did, EA would be long, long out of business.

As for the game itself, I shall withhold judgement until someone like TotalBiscuit and/or NerdCubed can give it a go.

Agreed At0mic, EA's business practices are shocking but yet they still stay because people will always support them. Not a fan of TotalBiscuit though however I will play Wolfenstein day one anyway.

Good point. I was just saying that I won't be supporting them. To me, Wolfy looks like the team took Dishonored, removed any ambiance, story, or meaning and cribbed from Inglorious Basterds and Man in the High Castle instead. They don't have the chops to pull off an interesting setting and the mechanics look dull. Hands-on reports are appropriately underwhelming.

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).

Well then, it's been about a week since I released my first FM and I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised by its reception. I had expected half as much interest in my short little FM as I received and even less when it came to positive feedback, but I am glad that the aspects of my mission that I put the most heart into were often the most appreciated. It was also delightful to read plenty of honest criticism and helpful feedback, as I've already been given plenty of useful pointers on improving my brushwork, level design, and gameplay difficulty.
I've gotten back into the groove of chipping away at my reading and game list, as well as the endless FM catalogue here, but I may very well try my hand at the 15th anniversary contest should it materialize. That is assuming my eyes are ready for a few more months of Dark Radiant's bright interface while burning the midnight oil, of course!
