Should I buy Wolfenstein The New Order

I have yet to play the Old Blood DLC myself however I have finished the original and it was fantastic.

 

The graphics were awesome, the story was a lot of fun, the weapons were great and the enemies were interesting.

 

The only thing I didn't like about it was it was the usual cliche of "Unt vee are zee germans KILL ZEE JUDEN!!" sort of hollywood shit they stereo type Germans into but hey it's just a game that doesn't take itself too seriously so whatever.

 

As a side note if you are interested in the fictional "what if the nazis won" sort of world, I really recommend checking out Amazons new series "The Man In The High Castle".

Is it closer to how RTCW was? I found New Order a bit dumbed down to what the Mainstream is these days (as literally everything now... even Fallout 4).

It's a *little* better than NWO, from the gameplay perspective too

Nice, i might grab it for the price then too. I like what the company did in the past, the 2 Chronicles of Riddick parts, and Enclave. Just found New Order to be a little bit too much in the style of Inglorious Besterds instead of being what Wolfenstein used to be. Bit too much focus on Hollywood virtues like action bombast, "cool" characters, and some brash cheeky dealing with the historical content. Can't explain it really, Return to Castle Wolfenstein was more real, while at the same time being grotesquely over exaggerated and trashy. Just perfect. New Order didn't really capture that so well.

Old Blood is a good trade-off.
