Messing with sea water

This is awesome. Is there a way for underwater to be coloured with distance also? Is there a way to use the murky_green water source with this?

I have an eclectic YouTube channel making videos on a variety of games. Come and have look here:

I think the underwater look is created using a gui. Gui's can make use of shader programs however, so the answer is yes.

SteveL hasn't been around in months, so don't know who else could answer this question.

He was last active one week ago. Dunno if he is working on some of his projects right now, though.

Does anyone have one of those gui's I can mess with?

I'm trying to find usages of every shader we have.

It might be interesting to note that this murky water is used in Volta 2 FM ?. It seems to be the only usage to this date.

It was also copied into maps ws4_warrens, penny3, northdale1, but none of them actually use such materials.

In Volta 2 the water shader imo is having rendering problems at least to me, what I see is a simple scrawling water texture with a reflection moving back, forward and side to side in a fast motion the heathaze effect that you see in the video bellow is not working to me. :(

Btw not sure if useful but compared to the video bellow the scene looks much darker to me but perhaps the guy just brought up the gamma for the let play.

I'm playing on a all AMD PC

AMD Ryzen 7 1800X

AMD R9 570X 8GB

latest (at the time of this post) 19.9.2 drivers

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).
