Maybe there is a limit how far up you can go. Maybe try 1000 first and increase bit by bit?

 

It seems it's a percentage rather than a point value, as no matter what I set it to, two swipes with a sword and he's dead.

 

On second thought I don't think I really need to worry about this, as another objective should take care of it. Still it'd be

interesting to find out if there is a way to give an AI god mode.

You could try to set the "damage_scale" spawnargs to "0". If I interpret them correctly (they don't have a dscription), they should be a factor by which damage is multiplied. so setting them to 0 should negate damage.

A quick check suggests that DR's 'AI' tab gives health an upper bound of 1000, but you can set it higher by editing the spawnarg directly. I gave an AI 100000000 and he's taking considerably more than two hits.

I think Vanished you are looking at Min.Interleaved Distance. Health is 100 and that's the maximum you can enter. If I use the

spawnarg max_health 10000 then he still dies in two swipes of a sword. Unless I have the wrong spawnarg.

 

[edit] seems the correct spawnarg is health 1000 according to the wiki which says

 

 

 

Q. How do I set or change the health of AI?

A. AI use the spawnarg "health" to set their hit points. To change it in-game, use a script and the function "setHealth".

 

That makes him virtually immune to damage. Your finger will probably get tired of clicking before he's dead at 10,000 health lol

The "health" spawnarg manages health, and is an absolute value, not a percentage.

 

There's a bug in the AI tab of DR, though. It caps the health at 1000. If you type 100000 into the spawnarg, then switch to the AI tab, you'll see your value has been capped.

 

Someone should file a bug against DR to not cap the health.

Since I'll have a video as a briefing, I really don't need or want the text briefing. So how do I remove it, so when the video ends,

it goes straight to the objective list?

I think there is a file handling this behaviour. Check Behind closed doors, it has the setup you are aiming for.

I have an odd issue. I needed to rebuild a corridor, to make it narrower, and in the process needed

to take a func_static back to worldspawn. Fixed the duplicate world entities, but now the map won't

compile with an error "Entity 1970 has no surfaces"

 

I opened it with both wordpad and also tried notepad, found it and tried to delete it, but both create an error when you go to load

the map again.

 

What causes this and more importantly; How to fix this?

You can find an entity by number in DR with Map -> Find Brush even if it isn't brush-based.

If I delete one marked 1970, then another becomes 1970 with surfaces error. Compounding issue. I think I need someone to take a look at it.

Did you try deleting the cm file and dmap again?

I solved a very similar issue by converting the offending brush into a func static.

How do you do volumetric fog? The area is outside the manor some fog around the yard and forest would look great.

Well, it's been almost 6 months waiting for Crowind to do the video for my level, and it's pretty clear

he's not going to finish it. So I might as well just release it for beta testing.

 

Before that, I need to learn how to make the briefing part of it. The briefing was going to be the video, but that's

pretty much kaput, so now I have to do it the usual way.

 

Could someone explain to me how you make the usual briefing which the images.
