Missing letters for Romanian as well. Tels was the man who originally came up with the initiative to massively adapt TDM for different languages.

I'm terrible at code, we had a good talk though. The idea was that letters could be completed using Strawberry. I'll connect you so you can see the chat history and everything if you want to try to pick it up from there.

The temporary solution for me was to simplify the translation into using placeholder letters for now s instead of ș, t instead of ț, a instead of ă and â, i instead of î.

Update: Did you get the invitation to the conversations? They are kind of ancient but TDM doesn't have these characters as it uses a certain type of Unicode so it has to be done manually. That's the general idea.

"I really perceive that vanity about which most men merely prate — the vanity of the human or temporal life. I live continually in a reverie of the future. I have no faith in human perfectibility. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active — not more happy — nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. The result will never vary — and to suppose that it will, is to suppose that the foregone man has lived in vain — that the foregone time is but the rudiment of the future — that the myriads who have perished have not been upon equal footing with ourselves — nor are we with our posterity. I cannot agree to lose sight of man the individual, in man the mass."

- 2 July 1844 letter to James Russell Lowell from Edgar Allan Poe.

Thanks, Anderson. The letters are not problem, though.

By the way, the screenshots has been added.

I hope any of those conversations helped at all.

Don't worry, the script works fine. Everything is okay, but fonts not. Still, the letters are not problem. It was good idea that using placeholder letters. Thanks to you and to others. :)

Now, the Turkish translation is ready to download.

Screens look good to me. Google translate shows that he's not trolling with Turkish swear words (etc)

AFAIK, we don't have ANYTHING for the Turkish language currently so I'd suggest we just merge this into 2.05

as the screens look reasonably serviceable compared to "nothing".

If any corrections need to be done it would be great for the Outsider One to check in here regularly for suggestions and recommendations - to answer any questions that might arise.

I got it working and committed.

I had to add data to the mainmenu_settings_language.gui file.

Fortunately, there was already backend support for Turkish so it was just a matter of copying the existing syntax.

Hi and Happy New Year! Can you please check if I didn't mess anything up with your Turkish translation in the all.lang file? Pay attention to the diacritics and cedilla characters especially!

We have at least one more GUI change upcoming 2.07 so we would like to have you watch out

for these changes and update if possible. If not, we can always diff what you supply and

merge the useful updates.

The Turkish translations updated for newly TDM version 2.07.

Outsider One PM'ed that there are some missing strings in the Turkish translation in the tdm_base01.pk4 file from version 2.06. If I understand correctly this is corrected for 2.07?

I remember that during the beta for 2.06 there were some graphics options that weren't translated and such, if something new appeared in 2.07 I guess we can fix that or what would be the most correct course of action?

Happy new year, Anderson and others!

I checked and tested it. Everything is okay with Turkish translations.

Not about characters, but some lines were missing, yes. As you told in PM, Anderson, looks like that old stuff from v2.06 caused this missing lines. Because of I'm using and testing on newly TDM version 2.07.

So, on the correction, you're correctly right, Anderson. This is corrected for 2.07.

Also, unlike graphics options, there are some untranslated lines I seen in Turkish translate if I ever translated, and I assumes other translates have that problem too.

2.07 is in Release Candidate mode:

http://forums.thedarkmod.com/topic/19774-beta-testing-207/

The translation script was run against the GUI so all text there should now be translatable.

Please let me know if there are any strings that have no translation syntax.

Otherwise, please feel free to update your translation work for possible inclusion in the 2.07 release.

Thanks.

I'll have to look into that 2.07 post factum due to lack of time. Thanks for the information.

Thank you for continuing to develop and update The Dark Mod.

I plan to revise and update Turkish translation, including three official missions. Most likely around the end of the year.

It has been a long time since the last update due to my other works and private reasons. From now on, I will keep Turkish translation updated.

The preliminary working titles for the missions in my now-in-development Partners in Crime series:
      - Partners in Crime 1: A Mere Trinket
      - Partners in Crime 2: Beacon Burglary
      - Partners in Crime 3: In the Bleak Midwinter
      - Partners in Crime 4 (5 ?): Fishy Dealings
      - Partners in Crime 5 (4 ?): A Thief in the Night

No title stealing, please.  In return, I promise to finish these. I do stress the preliminary part. Beyond the broad strokes storyline, plot, objectives, briefings and the (currently built) layouts of these FMs, I haven't fully decided about every single detail yet, including the exact order of the missions (4 and 5 might switch places, with the story adjusted accordingly). I want the overall plot to be plotted out a bit in advance and not suffer too much from inserting prequels later. I also prefer to let my FM building fill out part of the details naturally.

Currently working on the second FM, and once I do enough work on the current prototype, I'll work on the first one, until I get that one released. Then complete the second one, get that one ready for release (hopefully) a few months later, and so on. I want most of the early missions to be fairly small and confined, and get a bit bigger as I grow more confident in my FM making skills.

Though there is an overarching storyline to this series, the missions themselves are mostly episodic in nature. They factor into the character development of the two main characters I'll have in the series, but it's the kind of continuity where the mission's own plot and story wouldn't depend on it.
