Don't know if this is fixed in later versions but this is the version i'm using for now, a Doom 3 model (lwo) that worked fine in past DR versions and works fine ingame, gets totally corrupted in the DR views, polygons get stretched all the place, and the DR console prints this error:

PICO_WARNING: LWO loader discards any geometry data not in Layer 1 (2 layers found)

I'd have to see that specific model, I guess. Sounds like the LWO loader doesn't like it.

The warning about the model having more than one Layer is a clue though. Does the game consider the geometry stored in the other layers?

Hello greebo, the Doom 3 model is in the following place "models/mapobjects/hell/guardianroom/guardianroom.lwo", is a medium size open space, made of big blocks with a flat ground and with lava, is not a closed model. If the game considers geometry stored in other layers, i don't really know but the model works fine ingame so it perhaps does.

edit: opened the model in Modo and it indeed has two layers, the objects in the second layer do not show up in game, so this seem to indicate the game ignores geometry on other layers, why id software artists would put geometry in a second layer when it is ignored is anyone guess.

Finally got my PC back from the shop after my SSD got corrupted a week ago and damaged my motherboard. Scary stuff, but thank goodness it happened right after two months of FM development instead of wiping all my work before I could release it. New SSD, repaired Motherboard and BIOS, and we're ready to start working on my second FM with some added version control in the cloud just to be safe!

I've updated the articles for your FMs and your author category at the wiki. Your newer nickname (DeTeEff) now comes first, and the one in parentheses is your older nickname (Fieldmedic). Just to avoid confusing people who played your FMs years ago and remember your older nickname. I've added a wiki article for your latest FM, Who Watches the Watcher?, as part of my current updating efforts. Unless I overlooked something, you have five different FMs so far.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.
