Who did the Wench voice?

I have a conversation for two women, and I have one sorted, but need someone to voice the other side

of the conversation, since it's the Wench character, it'd be best if it was that voice if possible.

 

Is she still around to do voice work?

That was about eight or nine years ago. If the name isn't listed in the sound-shader file, you're probably out of luck.

Yeh I could use them both for a small conversation in a bedroom between two maids. Though it's not important, it's

just something that would be nice to add.

Hey man, my girlfriend Molly is looking to become a voice actor. She can voice ages from about age 13+ of females. I've showed her this post and she said she'd be interested in helping out.

She tried to sign up on the forums but couldn't post so I'm posting for her.

What I was looking for was just a few lines from the wench to the maid related to the master of the house. Since I've dumped the idea

since its so hard to find both voices.

 

@Mr Lemony Fresh, Spring is right, get her to post some samples. I know I would love to have access to a female voice actor. :)

I'm also looking for a voice actress for my FM. I decided I want all the lines done with a Maiden character in mind. I was hoping to find Amber and ask her about it, but I can ask whoever is offering. But first, I'll wait for some samples.

It would be a good idea to make a thread about this at least. Get in touch with people you know, or met physically. Even a student actor with passion might be worth it.

Howsabout some general sample lines like this?

 

"*casual, relaxed* hello, how are you? A bit chilly night, isn't it?"

 

"*frightened* hello...? Is someone there?"

 

"*sad, shocked* gone.... every single penny. Damned thieves!"

 

"*enraged, angry* I am going to cut you like a roasted pig!"

 

That way we get a fair idea what kind of voice you have and also what kind of emotion you can put behind the voice. Most of the stuff mappers need, is just casual talking, but if you can put emotion behind the lines, people could do some more complex works as well.

 

Thanks for your interest to help us out. It is greatly appreciated: not many voice actresses around these parts, I'm afraid.

in fact it might be worth starting your own thread in the Art Assets section, Mollys marvelous melodies or something like that

Hey! Thanks for the suggestions I will get onto it. I actually just had a skype lesson with a Voice Over teacher and she said I need to work more on the acting side of voice acting. She also said I have a "good little voice" so that's something. The suggested lines are great! I have some stuff on this week but I will definitely give it a shot and upload next week :) I can also sing so that helps. I will also attach a really short sample of a character that MrLemonyFresh created and rigged and I added my voice to it.

@Lemony, the recording is good but there seems to be some compression of the audio (as in some of the frequency range is missing).

 

@Molly, did you have a chance to have a go at doing Sotha's lines above..?

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh?       I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
