So, how do you guys like Prey?

I must admit that i gotta revise my opinion about Prey a bit... i'm 2/3 through now (i guess, maybe more), and, it's pretty unbalanced now. Not only does it not get easier the more and better Neuromod modifications you applied (how it should be in a RPG), but, there's always a constant lack of ammo now, and a constant lack of mineral material to build gear. And, the spawn rater of the monsters is pretty high, and they should have completely left out that Nightmare Typhon, especially when you can't even get rid of it, not even with the satellite modification i thought you might get rid of it finally. So, yeah... while it's still a nice game, the balance pretty much sucks. I hope they will fix that in a successor, if there will be any. At least on Expert difficulty (don't even want to think about the highest difficulty...) it's pretty badly balanced.

OK, nevermind that... just got to Cargo Bay, and finally could seriously stock up on ammo and equipment. :) (I was really running dry before that though...)

I finished Prey earlier, and, while i enjoyed big parts of it very much, i must say that it had some really annoying stuff as well, like, loads of side quests, which were added in the way of people calling you on the communication system, and demanding that you help him, which led you back to places you already cleaned up, and explored 2 or more times, with lots of Typhons spawning again in those areas, and a few really ridiculous quests, like the Treasure Hunt, which almost drove me nuts looking for the place in the G.U.T.S. where the last number was to be found (i had to look that up on the internet), just to find out that you don't even get a clue about the order of the numbers to dial in, so, you have to trial and error, what, like 30 different combinations (lol...). I think Arkane really exaggerated a bit there, while giving almost too many clues on other quests. So, yeah, great game, but by far not perfect, because it really had some frustrating and annoying moments, and, in the end i kind of was glad i could finish it.

I'll check Prey Mooncrash one day as well, but, i feel like i need a big break from Prey now...

Oh, and the end was pretty lame. I expected a bit more there. Well, they probably left it open for some potential successors.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
