A Night To Remember

Thank you for this mission, Fieldmedic.

It was certainly different, and quite tense.

I liked the fact that there was a delay between the flashes of lightning and the arrival of the thunder. So many big-budget game studios and Hollywood films completely fail to get that right.

I had fun playing it

I get to the room with

the headless body and Cromwell's journal.

I assume a scripted event is supposed to happen but I don't see anything.

Any idea?

I got

the padlock key from the body

. What is it supposed to open?

1.

Did you find the hidden cabinet?

2.

I think it opens something in his bedroom, but I could be wrong. If I am then finding the place it does unlock shouldn't be hard, since there aren't reallymany hidden locks.

Because in mystery novels, the first suspect is almost certainly never the murderer. No matter how much unmovable evidence there is, it will all be smashed in pieces by the wrath of the remaining number of pages of the story.

Hey Congrats! Looking forward to it.

(Link is currently broken, btw)

I updated the in-game downloader to match the posted version from that comment.

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

Perhaps an unpopular opinion: TDM team might benefit from someone with actual QA experience; someone with naturally and professionally developed curiosity, who is interested in how and why things work, how they break At least to me it's kind of mind-boggling how untested some rather important features are (first the absence alert feature for items, now the rope +body carry behavior).

Bumped into an interesting piece of wisdom called Hyrum's Law:
With a sufficient number of users of an API, it does not matter what you promise in the contract: all observable behaviors of your system will be depended on by somebody.

I love playing The Dark Mod when it's cold in my place. Bonus points when it's a bit (or even very) dark and it's raining, too.

I've been having stutters in Vulkan, apparently it's Nvidia Drivers' fault, so I reverted to 512 according to this: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/505679/regular-microstutter-in-vulkan-applications-after-/?topicPage=40

And no, that did NOT fix it. What's going on? My GPU is an RTX 2070, by the way.
