Non-Climable Fences

Hi there, I need to block off an area so the player will never get there and want to use those nice spiked fences, how do I make them non-climable please..searching fence or fences gives the results for "fence" the guy you sell your gear too..naturally. Thank you.

A Playerclip/Clip textured brush reaching up to he ceiling. Make sure it is believeable, though that the fence in question cannot be climbed and that you don't use the same fence in another area where it is climable.

Thank you, I have got the fences from that folder so I'll add the property.

Playerclip/clip I can certainly use in another area that I dont want the players to reach.

So a big thank you to you both.

Created the model on the map, opened up entity inspector, scolled down to the two boxes,

in the top box typed.....climbable 0

bottom box typed.......123 (just to make it work)

hit enter and the property is there but I can still climb over the fence in game, now I know I am doing it wrong as usual.

Is there a list of properties somewhere like there was for dromed..sorry for being so thick.

Made a large brush just in front of the fence and as high as the building next to it, textured it with player_clip and it works a treat.

Climbable goes in the top field, 0 in the bottom one.

When you are searching for a specific spawnarg, you can always tick the "Show Inherited" box, to see which properties an entity already has. If you right-click on the Entity Window and select "Add Spawnarg" you will get a list of properties you can add. Many of these have a description, which might help to find the one you are looking for. "Add Spawnarg" does not show all spawnargs that are possible, but it may help you anyway.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).
