in the meantime i started playing fallout 3 and 4 again.

3 needs heavy modding before it is playable on modern windows (damn that game is buggy).

It's not as good as the original Dead Space, unfortunately. I stopped playing it, when there was a part where they literally spammed enemies on you, and you can't get anywhere. Unlike Dead Space, it's a lot of melee combat too.

Maybe should give it another go some day.

Damn payed in full for it when it came out just to be a bit dissapointed by it. I did finish it but the replay value is near zero.

Dead space i been replaying multiple times so that tells you loads .

Strangely i prefer the original dead space and not the remake.

Even with all the bugs it had it was an excellent game.

Not strange at all, in my opinion. The remake changed the characters quite a bit, the protagonist has a voice now (which I dislike in most games, especially when they babble that much, as it is in modern games...), they changed the frequency of enemies, and so on.

From all that I've seen, I vastly prefer the original. If you know how, you can tweak it so that it's well playable on modern computers (gotta deactivate Vsync in game, limit the FPS to 60 in your graphics driver, and activate "Fast" Vsync, and change the "Window.Gamma" to 0.50000000 in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Electronic Arts\Dead Space\settings.txt").

Hmm yeah while the remake looks good it just feels a bit off to me. I can imagine that anyone who newer played the original because of the bugs or being to young at the time might have differing opinions though. To me it just does not feel right and i cannot point to one simple thing so it is definatly the changes as a whole that seem out of place.

Yeah felt kinda off sure im a fan of the guy but it kinda invalidates the other games when the protagonist suddenly looks completely different. Otherwise they should have remade the entire series for the new generation but they have no plans for that as far as i know.
