Actually Bieine, I found two bugs. The bed one, I got stuck on, but also

the right leg. I found all the body parts and the doll. Went out to the grave

dropped them in. The skull, arms, spine and left leg arranged themselves

together and the right leg disappeared. Objective not completed. Go back

to where it was located according to the list, n not there. Can't finish the level.

I remember now I have played this before and had no problems. I wonder if the

bed caused the leg problem.

It was mother's bed you got stuck on? if that's the case the bug probably was caused by that somehow. Maybe the leg moved before you picked it up and that messed with a target/trigger.

No, it wasn't mothers bed. It was the bedroom at the end of the corridor with the skeleton in the closet (nice lol). I climbed onto the bed near the pillow, walked to the other end and stepped off at the foot of the bed and got stuck.

Hi! I got back into TDM after a long break.

Amazingly fun mission. Thank you for making it!

Good:

  • Excellent use of sounds
  • Nice plot
  • Excellent plot delivery and I liked the way things escalated
  • Spooky. I especially liked how the environment changed a bit (wait... wasn't that gargoyle somewhere else just now..)
  • Backstabbed the father skeleton out of undeath with my sword. Serves him right!

Bad:

  • None

So nice to see ultra-talented people working on TDM maps!

That is high praise, thanks! I'm glad you liked it. Your let's build series for the Bakery Job had no small part in giving me the courage to start mapping in the first place! 👍

It's been a while since I played this mission so my memory is a little bit hazy but if I recall;

Spoiler

You have to use the crank to activate it, which you find under Olivia's bed (second floor next to the library). Only when you have that item in your inventory does the generator highlight for you as interactable.

What a nice mission.
I really liked it.
Honestly, I knew I was in for a good time when the gate closed on me the way it did.
The floating eyeballs that teleported that one time - great.
Bad room? Nice, but I'm confused who was knocking =D
Olivia is just the right amount of creepy and adorable. Story is dark, spooks good.
I got jump scared in the attic when the box fell =D
So tension building 10/10
A predictable scare in Mom's room, that worked wonderfully for atmosphere.

Extra objective - very nice touch, but I wonder if there was a way to unlock it, not just complete it.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
