Popular Post Reman Posted January 6, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) Not sure if there are any Minecraft players on this forum, but I thought I'd share my Thief-inspired map anyway. While it does not take place directly in the Thief universe, I've included some nods to the series, like Heartless Perry's pawn shop, Trickster's forest, a Keeper compound, Thieves guild, Hammerites, Mechanists, City watch and Garrett's place. There is a questline at the museum which is about retrieving seven legendary items for its collection. One quest has you finding the Keeper compound and another one requires you to do some jobs for the Thieves guild. There's also a mission which takes you into long forgotten Hammerite crypts. Download: https://www.oakhold.com/downloads/oakhold-2.1.zip It currently works in Minecraft version 1.14.4 only. I recommend pureBDCraft resource pack and Optifine to help with FPS and dynamic lighting. https://optifine.net/ https://bdcraft.net/downloads/purebdcraft-minecraft/ Edited December 29, 2021 by Reman fixed links 14 Quote

Popular Post freyk Posted January 7, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted January 7, 2020 Nice map. Take this to the next level: Convert/remake this map for TDM using darkradiant. https://www.darkradiant.net/ 4 2 4 Quote .
demagogue Posted January 7, 2020 Report Posted January 7, 2020 Really cool! I only remember somebody did a Thief texture pack once, but this is a much bigger thing. Thanks for your work! 1 Quote What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.
Jedi_Wannabe Posted January 7, 2020 Report Posted January 7, 2020 That is awesome, my son and I play Minecraft together all the time, albeit on the Switch and 360. I would totally get this if I played on PC. I might actually have to keep an eye out for sales just to take advantage of this. Super impressive, well done! 1 Quote As my father used to say, "A grenade a day, keeps the enemy at bay!" My one FM so far: Paying the Bills: 0 - Moving Day
Carnage Posted January 7, 2020 Report Posted January 7, 2020 Very impressive work, I'll definitely give it a try! 1 Quote

I did have a Dromed project about breaking into a Hammerite monastery like 15 years ago, but I ended up abandoning it. Quote

You definitely have a good eye for the look and feel of our world, so I'm certain you could make a great FM! And if it's any help, Dark Radiant is muuuuuch easier to work with than Dromed. The results also look a lot better. And you also have us who will help you as much as we can. 1 Quote What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.
Reman Posted September 12, 2020 Author Report Posted September 12, 2020 (edited) I'd just like to let you guys know, that I've now updated the map to version 2.1. There are some minor improvements to the main mission, but the main upgrade is a village quest which takes place after the museum one. Pirates have raided a coastal settlement, and you get to sail your own ship in a quest to find three chalices once blessed by the Master Builder himself. Download here: https://www.oakhold.com/download I'm also working to get this onto the Minecraft Store, but it's ultimately up to Mojang whether they'll accept it. demagogue Posted September 13, 2020 Report Posted September 13, 2020 Looks great! You ought to put up a video here so people can really appreciate your accomplishment. (This isn't a good texture pack for this setting, but it gets the job done.) 2 Quote What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.
