Any taffers on Windows with Navi AMD card?

If you have any of these cards, I would greatly appreciate your help in chasing down a bug.

Radeon RX 5300
Radeon RX 5300 XT
Radeon RX 5500
Radeon RX 5600
Radeon RX 5600 XT
Radeon RX 5700
Radeon RX 5700 XT

If you have one of these cards, can you load up the latest TDM 2.09 beta, open your console and turn on:

r_useNewBackend 1
r_useBindlessTextures 1

And see what you game looks like.

I get a green tinge to everything covered by the Ambient light.

With bindless textures on I get:

With bindless textures off I get a normal view:

So far I'm the only one reporting this issue, but it does appear to be a driver issue as previous AMD drivers do not have this problem.

Drivers I've tested:

Driver versions that work:

2020-edition-20.9.1-sep29
2020-edition-20.10.1-oct19
2020-edition-20.11.1-nov6

Drivers that turn ambient light green:

2020-20.11.2-win10-64bit-nov18
2020-20.12.1-win10-64bit-dec8

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Unfortunately I don't have a Navi based GPU only a older GCN one and that bug doesn't happen to me but I need to ask something, I played the mission Snowed Inn just now and, I seem to be getting very obvious color banding on the skybox, as if the skybox texture was 8bits do you get that has well?

I tried the training mission and I don't see the same thing, perhaps is the fog?

Go into advanced settings and set your colour to 64bits

EDIT: Video->Advanced->Colour Precision set it to 64bits

It was already at 64bits. :(

Tried 32bits just to see if it made any change, nothing, tried messing with gama and brightness no change to the color banding, tried changing anisotropy (was at 8x) no change, tried changing to the old backend, again nothing, enabling r_useNewFog makes a big change to the Snowed Inn skybox look but it still shows some color banding.

Other things i tried, disabling sharping, bloom and SSAO, no obvious change to the skybox, I also enabled the new frob shader just to test it and I see banding on the highlight!

edit: tried Snowed Inn in TDM 2.07 also see the color banding so is not a 2.09 bug.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
