Ok finished this mission. A really beautiful mission! I'm just not really a big fan of undead and I think at least the citadel is too large. Too much backtracking when you forget something. Also most of the rooms are very large, but I guess it fits the type of building. For the rest I enjoyed this fm a lot.

I finished all the objectives (on easy)

The level design had been good until that golden door. Why are there four zombies in front of a door that has no shading and requires 8 successful lockpicks to open (an first and extreme)? Why are the zombies obsessed over the lock on the door? and why isn't there an alternate route to get in for those who'd prefer to ghost (even if it is harder that just hacking). 🙁

Did you (not) find help from the enemy of my enemy is my friend ?

Spoiler

You can release fire elementals to kill the zombies.

Just finished this one, woo boy what an incredible mission. Nice work @JackFarmer !! I really liked the underwater submarine area, that was a pretty cool touch, and the saint puzzle was pretty great, nice scratcher without resorting to moon logic.

I did run into some stability issues in the citadel, whenever I killed an undead or a skeleboi, it ran a high risk of crashing the game (TDM 2.13). I think it was sound related, I noticed the sound would go wonky right before the crash so I disabled the OpenAL EFX and that made it like, 25% as likely to crash, otherwise it would have been a forced ghost, haha. Here's a save where you can really quickly go kill an undead and make it happen, unless I suppose it's specific to my rig, lmk if you want any further info

Oh man I've just started continuing this mission after a leave of absence. I got distracted by shiny AAA titles for some reason and have now gone back to classic TDM, something I was intended to do anyway.

Unfortunately this distractionary phase seems to have lasted for... a while, since the last played date for the mission was apparently February 2023. It also appears I'm out of date as there are a ton of new missions I've been ignoring. It's almost embarrassing, but now I'm ready for it and I'm reminded just how epic in scale this mission actually is.

A word of warning, Agent Denton. This was a simulated experience; real LAMs will not be so forgiving.

That really cheered me up, thank you!

On the second floor of the citadel, there's double doors with a clock above them that can't be frobbed, how do I get in there?

I also found a "mysterious key" but unsure where to use it

You have to solve the puzzle with the large rotatable towers in the basement to gain access for said double door.

Things have been so bad these days for me...
Just a year ago, I've been feeling dizzy, I thought it was nothing, today's stress, that type of thing, went to sleep...Still dizzy! 9 more days dizzy, went to doctor (I would have gone on the first day if NOT for the long appointment time)
Said it may be Neck Dizziness...I did exercises for 6 months, no changes.
Went to a Physical Therapist, went to another, no changes.
I've asked my doctor for a full check this time.
I hated yesteryear so much due to personal reasons, this year might be the same.
To be brutally honest, I'd rather have cancer or/and chronic pain than suffer dizziness any second longer, especially when nothing helps.
Hard to enjoy Thief when you're dizzy so I was hoping this year, Winter will be best for me.

      Hello mappers and taffers!

Are you still out there? It is so calm here these days and I am afraid this is no good sign.
Proof me wrong, tell your best friend (=me), that you are still here and that you will not go away!

Happy Labour Day, my taffing taffers & hard working mapping friends!
And remember the poor souls who, within the Inventors’ organization, labor under Jonus’s yoke to ensure the success of that very guild! Always remember the hard workers!
