Guys, I am sorry that it does not work on your end. 

The opening scene outside the hatch is barely 800 DCs, below in the first room it is around 2,000 DCs and not really getting much higher in other places. Therefore, this should not put too heavy load on your hardware (my last mission was way more demanding in that regard).

I am afraid I am at a loss when it comes to performance optimization. Maybe @nbohr1morecould help here if he has the time?

@STRUNKOn a different note: have you finished your prefab for your bats? I would like to have these flying beasts for my next mission!

Right. I'm at the end, but I've ran into a problem...

I only have three objects unchecked, one is to place the explosives, one to get on the elevator and detonate them and the last one to get back to Desmond's hideaway. However, I simply cannot place the explosives. Are they supposed to be "used" on the meteor? It does light up as frobbable but that's it, the explosives flash red when I try to place them. Maybe an objective has failed to trigger? Or have I missed something really obvious?

edit: I did get the player voice saying that the explosives should now be placed

Well, I anticipate you brought the meteor down by placing the three artefacts in the shrines, right?

if so, then it should work like that:

1. put the explosive in the player's hand

2. go to the meteor until it lights up as frobable

3. Press the right mouse button

Don't worry. It's just strange. I tried it on a different (somewhat older) machine and it works okay. So, at least I am a happy customer now... Hopefully @STRUNK can solve it as well.

I did brought it down with the runes, yes. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "putting the explosive in the player's hand" though. English is not my first language, so that might be the issue here.

Anyway, here's how it looks for me when I try to use the explosives on the meteor:

Yeah, the picture looks correct. By pressing the right button now it should work.

BUT:

How come that you have two explosives? There is only on explosive in the mission. 🤔

Please try the following:

1. Drop one of the explosive devices from the inventory (should work with the "R" if you are using the default settings), then try to use the remaininig explosive on the stone

2. If that does not work, drop the not working explosive with "R" from your inventory,  pick up the other explosive and try to use it on the stone...

I can't remember the moment when I picked it up. I just assumed two was correct, as "explosives" is a plural. However, I am unable to drop them.

Anyway, I found a savegame where I don't have the explosive. I'll see if I can reproduce this.

edit: this time around I only got the one explosive. I tried many times but only ever managed to pick up one. Go figure. At least I should be able to finish the mission now.

Yeah! I finished. What a great mission. I only found

2 secret areas in the caves, so I have to go back and search. 

And maybe an error, but

after setting off the explosives I tried and went back. To my surprise I could just walk _through_ the boulder that was supposed to block off the meteor area. 

That was fun and kept me on my toes until the very end.

I have the render scale at 0.5 and now I get decent fps, but it is very strange. I'm using build #9108
System: i7-3740QM @ 2.70GHz , 8GB Ram , NVIDIA Quadro K1000M

Finished the mission without any further problems. Very nice atmosperic mission Jack! Thanx!

Disclaimer: I did cheat with spawning some fire arrows and killed everybody around, exept for the employee.

I can confirm this, the game crashes for me as well and I did not use any cheats.

I also had the game crash on me on several occasions while this mission was installed. Even in the main menu, when the mission was not loaded. Maybe it's just due to 2.09 as I had to update to play this mission?

I did notice that the crashes were not nearly as frequent when I turned off the OpenAL EFX and HRTF.

Then again, I'm using an ancient PC (i5-2500, GeForce GTX 560).

Guys, I really do not undestand that. We did not see this behaviour during beta and I myself tested the particular switches dozens of times with and without cheats.

I am so sorry for you and I do not know what to do. :( :( :(

Most irritating thing for me is, that since I swtiched to 2.09, I did not have any single crash during development of the mission - this seems to be the most stable version of DM I ever had on my machine.

It's fine, I know it's not an easy problem to solve :) .

Would a savefile help? This is a save just in front of the decontamination chamber, when I go inside and pull the lever the game crashes right after the decontamination mist sprays me: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2zd6371szm82rdy/hhta_crash_save.zip?dl=0

I'm running a relatively fresh install of 2.09 in Windows if it helps (I do have several other missions installed, other than that I'm mostly in default settings and did not do any updates).

however, I think it only happens when you have a key (or key-like object) showing in your inventory. Any other type of object (or the loot display) works.

I think I may have seen something similar before, related to scripts frobbing an object.

Confirmed. When I have something other than a key in hand, it works normally, no crash.

Confirmed. I can pass the airlock without a key (or anything that is technically a key). I used the spyglass.

Same, returning from the cave and going to the lock, when I activate the disinfection lever, I find myself on the desktop. After several attempts to get out, he did it at the end with noclip, so he could go on.
Something's wrong with the airlock.

Nice new mission :)

Just having some issues with keys. Found 2 that are unfrobbable, so far:

1 in the

Spoiler

com room with a note, under the console and another in place with 4 lockers (it being the second from the left, with the key).

Took forever to get that unlocked with the robot guard & once inside that key too is unfrobbable. Those keys are important right?

Are those robot guards stoppable with something?

Yes, not verry difficult with the sword from behind on the neck or head, same with firearrows. Robot guards are not as skilled with the sword as human guards in other missions. . With the mines anyway. Once the robot guards are eliminated, the security cameras, although they give an alarm, are irrelevant in this room, they will only subtract points in stealth, but these can also be deactivated with the switches that are there or shoot a firearrow at them.

Try closing a cabinet and opening it again, this could make the keys frobable.
