Little bug (?) in the Download Menu

In the download menu, missions are marked with * for updates and # for translations, but this is not visible in longer titles.
Perhaps it would be better to mark it at the beginning of the title, or at the edge of the menu.

Good catch! Maybe these icons could just be place in front of the names instead?

I think this would be the simplest solution, another would be to use a newline in longer titles.

And i still want a system to search these missions by date and status :c

I use the wiki for this. The page https://wiki.thedarkmod.com/index.php?title=Fan_Missions_for_The_Dark_Mod has I think all the features you need. I just note which one I want to play and then download it next time I run TDM.

There's also a nice mission database here:

https://tdmdb.com/missions

It's a bit of a shame it's sort of left forgotten. I think it should be maybe linked to from the site, or maybe integrated.

Speaking of integrated support, maybe the game itself should have some links to those pages so people don't to search on the net? Or at least a link to the homepage and the forum, for example behind the version number on the main menu?

Why would they need to search the net? www.thedarkmod.com, click on Missions at the top right.

EDIT: Oh you mean in game. Maybe just put a link to the main site at the bottom of the page, but honestly......if you have the game installed.......you've been to the main site I would hope to get the installer.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Say, I know it's been a while since the site got overhauled from the crash. But did we ever figure out if/how to get the recent topics & replies list back? It's not a total deal breaker but it was nice for becoming a thread creeper again...

Some of you who've been on the TDM discord know I was out of work last Winter, just putting in hrs for the developer portfolio. Currently I've been working a seasonal job to pay the bills and now I'm finally in my last week before I get bumped off. Things will be tight but I'm planning a long off period to make as much content as I can. Big plans in Unreal Engine as well as my most ambitious TDM collab yet! Never been so excited to be a stuck at home to pursue my life's work. With a lotta time and maybe some luck, I'm hoping to get enough art work done that I may start applying around to studios.

I finally got around to play Prey and I truly loved it. It is an incredible homage to System Shock and Deus Ex. While the gameplay is not en par with those two titles, the game makes up for that with its well written lore and story. The whole "world" just feells so authentic and it features a ton of really god environmental story-telling. Recommended for every immersive sim fan, i.e., everyone on this forum.
