I like this mission :) It's taken many tries, but with the new pc it plays smooth now. But now I'm stuck close to the end of phase 1 (I know there's more with this size) :)

Can someone lead me to the library? It's not on the map...

Spoiler

So, the hint is in the journal you find in the mages tower, and you need to use the xray specs to get there. If you need a further hint:

Spoiler

the far corner of the sewers, but again, you need to make sure those glasses are equipped and on

If it was only that simple ;) So, I'm running around in the library with the floating books. What am I looking for in there? Been up the tower, sitting on a desk on the first floor of the library watching the dead go by me. Are they killable? I can see them with the xray glasses too, funny...

This you will just have to explore yourself. The readables and objectives do show what you are looking for. As for if they are killable, shoot a (holy?) arrow and find out ;)

Aperantly subtitles are supported and there is a subtitle .srt file present for the mission intro. Unfortunatelly it is disabled:

subtitles fm_root {
    verbosity story
//  srt "sound/video/briefing.ogg" "subtitles/player_briefing.srt"
    include "fm_conversations"
}

Why is it disabled?

Great question! I have no idea. I'll take a look this afternoon and fix it. Thanks for pointing this out

yeah, thank you for pointing that out. One section was commented out as you had said earlier, then a few other small bugs here and there, but now it works

how do I:

Spoiler

use the teleporter in the mage's tower?  I found the crystal and put it in the thing on the wall.  I've tried frobbing the teleporter, standing over the symbol, etc.  What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: nevermind, figured it out.

With all this talk of particle collisions, there is a new small update for Written in Stone now available at a local TDM Mission Downloader near you. It is mostly bug fixes, but there are a few quality-of-life improvements, a new model or two, and a small handful of climbing/mantling fixes that should hopefully make a thief's life a little more painless.

      Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
