TDM not seeing 3070?

I  fairly recently got this Alienware x17 r1 laptop, on which I run Linux Mint x64. Between the I7-11800 and the RTX 3070, it rips through anything maxed-out at 1080p except, as I just realized, The Dark Mod. For TDM, I have to crank the settings way down, and even then my frame rate is poor. The game can't be seeing the RTX (for one thing, its fans spool up like a jet engine when it's under any sort of load), but I have no idea how to ameliorate this. Please assist, thanks.

You've already set your Driver to force the use of your GPU for 3D?

That says "PRIME Profiles" ? Is that a sub-menu under the Profiles area? If so, did you create a dedicated profile for TDM?

Please post your Darkmod.cfg and open TDM then use then use CTRL+ALT+ ~  ( tilde ) to open the console then invoke:

condump graphics_issue.txt

The resulting file will land in your darkmod directory. Attach it to the reply as well.

What Linux Mint version do you have?

It doesn't even seem to know what CPU you have?

Also, it looks like your TDM build is from February 2021.

Can you try running tdm_installer and see if there is a new build available?

Alternately, you can run tdm_installer and select custom version and select the 2.09b version.

That explains why neither the CPU nor GPU were seen. If you do not have a signed OS or drivers then only Open Source drivers will run under Secure Boot:
