That isn't me playing, it's just one of the playlists I keep an eye on

Well dang thanks for linking it then. His words sting less now. “He got LAST in the CoNtEsT!” I was like geez thanks for reminding me bruh 😭 haha

It’s still super fun for me to see someone play something I created.  Watching those “Got ‘em!” moments, or seeing a roundabout way to tackle a situation I hadn’t dreamed of.
Couldn’t be happier

Definitely not intended.
I’ll look into this as soon as I am able.

Finished this up yesterday and enjoyed the straight up - get the loot and get out style -was a nice change of pace. The loot was fairly easy to find so stocked up on just about all of it.

Spoiler

As I was moving through your map, I had a sense of deja vu in quite a few areas. It was a long run to the mansion but enjoyed the diversion into the "pagan?" cave. And then another long run up to the mansion, fortunately once there, I had lots to look through.

As mentioned, I found most of the loot, however I could not get the loot bag off the guard that goes into the dining room nor could I get a sword that was in a glass case in the lounge (maybe not loot?) so ended up short at the end of the game. Not sure if there was others I'd missed but once I found your sneaky spots (chandelier, paintings) I had to run around and check everything again lol.

Thanks for all your hard work, I look forward to more missions from you.

Thank you so much for playing!

The blunt direction  of “get in, grab stuff, and get out” was half my direct approach to objectives and half learning the ropes of DR.  I’m glad your playstyle benefited from my mapping style. 🙂

The sword in the display case in the lounge is definitely lootable, as well as that servant with the coin purse that wanders into the dining room. Play around with windows of opportunity in the patrols, and maybe a gas arrow or two might help.

Few have found the loot in the foyer contained in the painting(s) and chandelier; good eye!

Again, thanks for playing, it really means a lot!  While I’ve begun work on the next chapter, progress is admittedly slow; my dang S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly addiction is getting out of hand.

the key to the wine cave though and I'm not sure who "the sir" is who supposedly has it.

Spoiler

The dude walking around the 'Master Suite' has the key on his belt. He wanders around the room a bit then goes out to the balcony. There's also a little note a lot of people miss on that sofa by the fireplace.

Thanks for playing!

@grodenglaive Hope you enjoyed it, thanks for the kind words!

For anybody else interested, I've played and beat it using cabalistic's VR port, and it was awesome. No real problems other than peeking through keyholes with func_peek being borked in VR.

Very enjoyable FM overall! I got stuck on the main objective but managed with some hints. Plays well and looks very beautiful: If you noclip you can see several mapping artifacts but it's not a serious issue.

Spoiler

I especially loved the forest path, it's rarer to see such a beautiful outdoor area detailed so well! The mansion was pretty nice and cozy too, but I especially loved the outdoors in this one.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
