My brother (Springheel, yes, the name dropping begins already ) has

been showing me the work that you guys have been doing on the mod.

Looks great!

 

I have some skills in coding, and am quite familiar with C++.  I've

done some limited coding for UT2k4, but nothing for Doom3 so far.  I

am interested in becoming more familiar with it, and would welcome the

chance to assist in coding the mod.

 

Neither AI nor Physics are my specialty (in fact, I'd be hard pressed

to name a specialty), but I'm a fast learner.  So if there are any

areas that I could help out with, I'd love to do so.

He's made something similar to NH's Minimalist project for Master of Orion III, so he's got some experience tinkering with game design too.

Okay, to be on topic; Spring,do you pronounce his name "Brick"?

I forsee a lot of puns in the future if so.

Actually, the name is of Celtic origin, and they pronounce the 'bh' sound as 'v' (you may have seen the name siobhan before). Hence, the name would accurately be pronounced as "vroo-ic".

 

And don't worry about misspelling it, everyone does. It's entertaining to see the creative ways people can manage to spell it.

That's why I don't like to change permission masks, because I'm never suire what I really have to change.

Good question. Since I don't really know his skills yet we have two possibilities. Either he tells me what he can/want to do or we have some smaller task which is independent. It seems we are running out of small tasks though.

 

I guess the inventory system would be a good start. Should be easy to do and is quite independent.
