Lines visible for all objects

Hello,

I think I have done a mishandling (I remember I have tried something to run "Vitalic Fever - Hidden Hands who worked slowly by the time)

So the problem is that I see every line on an object or character as showed on the picture below.

And I don't remember how to remow that

Thank you for your answers

Now I recall where this happened.

This is a known artifact for the "Frob Outline" feature.

Nuking your config would cure it but you can also just disable that feature.

Please visit TDM's IndieDB site and help promote the mod:

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

Hello everyone,

I have tried the "r_frobOutlinePreset", the "r_showtris" commands and the nuking but nothing changed, lines are still here.

When I moved to 2.07 release thoses lines disappeared.

So I will try to replace the darkmod.cfg file from 2.10 release by the one from 2.07 (as I have no other solution for the moment)

Thanks for having answered and am still at your listening if you have other suggestions

It won't help, I'm afraid.

You can try to find first version which does not work as intended, but if that's something before 2.09, that knowledge won't help.

You can submit console log for a rare chance that it contains something suspicious.

You can try changing antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, and maybe try "r_useNewBackend 0".

I have seen artifacts like this in other OpenGL games, usually when I forced antialiasing in the graphics control panel.

Also, do you have loose folders in your Darkmod directory? Like glprogs or something like that?

Do you have multiple .cfg files in the main directory?

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, it did not worked.

I went back to the 2.09b version and lines disappeared. For the moments I will let it like that, because, just after I re-installed the 2.10 version, it became slower.

@stgatilovWhat did you mean by "console log" ?

@AluminumHasteI don't have this folder. And also I have, other than the darkmod.cfg, darkmodKeybinds and darkmodPadbinds

@stgatilovThank you so much for your help !!
I've tried today to settle
"r_useNewBackend 0" and it worked, as I had to move on 2.11 version for the new fan mission

Thank you everyone for having taken the time to answer me so happy to have a visually pleasing game for now

"r_useNewBackend 0" will be removed in next release.
It is already removed in the latest dev build.

You would do us a favor by downloading dev build now and checking whether it works fine or not 🥺

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
