I think it was even better in 2022. I count 14 released (Maybe not Sneak and Destroy because it was a rerelease?):

  1. Newford Road
  2. Written in Stone
  3. Hazard Pay
  4. Moving Day
  5. Iris
  6. Noble Affairs
  7. By Any Other Name
  8. A House Call
  9. Eastbound
  10. Who Watches the Watcher
  11. Lucy's Quest
  12. Quinn Co 2
  13. In Plain Sight
  14. Sneak and Destroy

I just go by the count on the mission releases page on the official site found here: https://www.thedarkmod.com/missions/

There’s 13 missions released in 2022 so that’s the number I go by :)

It does seem strange to count the re-release of La Banque Bienveillante, but not Sneak & Destroy. My count is also 14.

My missions:           Stand-alone                                                      Duncan Lynch series

Down and Out on Newford Road              the Factory Heist

                                                                                                  A House Call

                                                                                                  The House of deLisle

Why was sneak and destroy not updated to 2022 on the mission release page?

I don't know. TBH the only reason I care is that it puts 2022 into outright third instead of just equal third with 2011 and 2013.

My missions:           Stand-alone                                                      Duncan Lynch series

So I think we can count 12 or 14 missions depending on our opinion of La Banque Bienveillante and Sneak and Destroy. If these two reissues are counted as new missions (as JarlFrank did here: https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152035), then we have 14 missions. If not, then 12. Personally, I don't consider them new missions, so 12 in my opinion. Have no problem with other opinion. In any case, last year was productive!

I think airship wrote that the Bank FM was enterily re-made and should be counted as a new release.
My FM was partly remade, but mainly overhauled. This is why it's possible that it doesn't count as a new release. :)

It's an uptick in the number of FMs released one way or the other anyway. Great to see! I hope we can continue the momentum this year too.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
