I also replay missions I like just because they're fun.

Certainly true as well. I'm just giving people who don't replay missions some reasons for doing so. It's perhaps more a reflection of how much entertainment there is out there, but a lot of people simply don't replay games much if at all because there's always new content out there. For things like TDM it can take a bit more time, so there's value in coming up with ideas to revisit content in other ways.

A word of warning, Agent Denton. This was a simulated experience; real LAMs will not be so forgiving.

The longest interval was 10 months. That was between the 1.0 beta and 1.0 release time.

There have been several 6 month spans so to be the 2nd longest span ( 7 months ) we would need to have no mission releases before April 7th.

Hmm I will take that as a positive sign. particularly the last sentence😉

If you take mission re-releases into consideration, then the current time span would even only be 4 months, since my version 2.0 of Sneak & Destroy was released on 17.11.22 😊

Hmm...That does sound like a good habit, I really need to get myself to do that.

I can see one problem here being personal (not on my part) and that is being introvert, I'm very sure most people aren't too willing to give a negative review because they fear they'll get into a conflict and they don't want that, as an example.
Or they simply feel too embarrassed to make a review, let alone one in public and have somebody else get in the argument.

Honestly, to all that, all I can say is...Have no shame of yourself if others are trying to shame you for no good reason whatsoever other than their petty sycophantry.

I wouldn't demand that everyone writes long novels, and when someone criticizes, you can usually tell by the way they write that they mean well.

I don't remember that most of the authors here react too offended when factual criticism is expressed.

But if someone writes an "analysis" with the content "I don't like mission xyz, because it's total shit", then maybe he shouldn't do it or he shouldn't be surprised if he gets a good beating.

Man I really have to learn doing ingame cutscenes. Then I can let an ai walk through a mission talking about all the good and not as good parts with the camera showing some of these scenes. I don't even have to voice him, I just use subtitles.. 😉

      Bachelor Mapping Challenge!
The girlfriend will be away to her mum's place for almost a week, which means more mapping time for me! I'm planning a speed build. Hope it will go my way
I'm starting by downloading 2.11. Don't know if I'm going to use any fancy new stuff. Just want to crack those itching map muscles that has gone dry and dead since almost a year's worth of no-mapping

The cool part of Canonical's Snap, is that my machine can now ray-trace an entire (simple) scene faster than it takes the web browser to start!

      Fm idea (braindump)
"Experience the life of a mission builder"
Esentially there are finnished elements placed somewhere in storage in the game and you have to place them in the correct places, build some walls here and there, add guard routes, give them their correct speech lines, etc. Decorate the places.. all in-game. lots of fun.. 😉
If you do it right in the end you can play the mission.
(would be even cooler if a thief-ai could play the mission, making it some kind of tower-defence game)

This first started as an idea for an aquarium builder mission where-in you have to fill an empty aquarium with sand, waterplants, castles water and swimming fish. But above idea is more fun.

Dear ChatGPT, What are The Builders in the Dark Mod?

The Builders is a popular game mode in the video game community called "Dark Mod," which is a fan-made tribute to the classic "Thief" series of stealth games. In this game mode, players assume the role of builders who construct structures in a dark and ominous environment while trying to avoid detection by patrolling guards.
The Builders game mode is unique in that it offers players the opportunity to create and design their own levels using the in-game tools and resources provided. Players can experiment with different building materials, construct intricate traps and puzzles, and create their own unique gameplay experiences.
While The Builders game mode is not an official part of the Dark Mod, it has become one of the most popular and well-loved aspects of the game, thanks to its emphasis on creativity, strategy, and stealth.

You guys did not know that, did you?
