there are these movable white bales, and I, very legitimately, using other bales to build a stack, managed to take one onto the "wall" and placed it under the window. I could then just climb in and was sad there was no secret to be found : (

I took my gear and sneak past the city watch, used the elevator, got up to the window where the music comes. But the room is empty, only a statue and a globe. I can't get the music off.

So far I liked the city area with its verticals and the home of the protagonist.

 

yeah the empty room took me by surprise  at the end of the game(i managed to turn off the music tho). so who was jamming to the music? 

i managed to hop into the window of the empty room by stacking a crate. My attempt to do the long jump from the starting apartment didn't fare well...

Yeah there should have been an invisible wall brush to prevent this.

Or even better in terms of UX, a little secret inside the room.

Yeah Ill fix this in an update, I swear I put a clip brush there but I guess not :(

@nbohr1moreWould you mind updating this on the server? Its a fairly bad bug, I've updated the OP but here is the link to the new pk4:

To anyone wondering there was a conflict between the mission and other initiatives and kingsal solved the conflict on his side and I am very grateful. Thank you, @kingsal.

I'm lost for some reason I can't get past the difficulty screen there is no start the mission icon?

 

 

Ok it was invisible I found by blindly clicking in lower right portion of screen.  I think this is because of my video settings?

Hm can you send me your user config file? Are you using any mods or changing the core files in any way?

Perhaps this is because your in-game brightness is very high and the Start Mission option blends with the background...

Kingsal I don't have any mods it was the brightness and gamma settings.  I adjusted those and all is good.

Cool yeah that's my bad, the image I'm using on the screen is just too bright. Thats good to know, thanks. Out of curiosity what was your gamma and brightness set to before?

The brightness was set at three clicks from max and gamma was about mid range.

On some levels like down in a cavern or basement it was always too dark that is why I had it set high  I'm not a youngster anymore can't see that well now!!  I'll be 65 this year!

 

P.S.  I wanted to thank you for this great but short mission!!!!

Greatly enjoyed the moment of starting the mission and hearing the Beethoven's symphony. Well fit for the atmosphere of the game and provided the mood for the FM as well. I found acting against my own will by shutting off the music.

vine arrow. I've shot it at metal grating, brickwork and timber but can't seem to find a use for it!

 

Also, is there a key for the first door you come to after you leave your apartment? 

 

No there is not.

Vine arrows are a bit finnicky and might not work on every surface. They should work on most brick and stone but some of the textures aren't set up correctly.

Just got around to playing this and I enjoyed it! Always love a small FM with a silly premise yet a lot of heart put into it. One of the few times I found all secrets and all loot on my own, that almost never happens :D A little feedback and small issues I found:

I really hoped that by stacking up a few crates I could climb through this window, was a little disappointed when I realized it's player-clipped shut. Kept wondering what I'd find the guy playing the loud music doing in there! At least we're treated to the silly butt statue. If you ever update the FM to add more content, maybe an idea of use now that you know we can get there :)

I get a black box here which usually means missing model: You likely have the model somewhere locally and didn't package it with the pk4. I can tell it's a grate from how it rotates and the sound it makes when frobbed.

No big deal but I noticed part of this door frame is textured with brick instead of wood, noticeable enough to point out in case you're updating the map with more fixes.

You can get permanently stuck when dropping in here. Not sure if that's intentional or not, but it can be a problem especially if you've saved while inside. I had to throw a crate in there then use it to climb out: Maybe put a movable crate inside by default, also make the hole a little larger as mantling doesn't always trigger even then.

I just finished it as well. Nice mission. :)

I entered the music room the same way SeriousToni entered it (if there's an open window, there's just no stopping trying to get in there...).

The secrets were nicely balanced, I was able to find them all. I missed some 25 loot or so, but, I never find all the loot anyway.

Have you been using the older version? Otherwise you would have been blocked from entering.

      Today I did a bit of an experiment! I wanted to see if I could get a dark radiant map into garry's mod, the quickest and dirtiest and not-workiest method is "OBJ2VMF" which converts .obj models into VMF files for hammer to then compile, the way its supposed to work is that you input a 6 sided cube and it turns it into a 6 brush room (not exactly ideal for this since that's not how TDM maps work, this honestly would have been a better idea with any thief game from 1 to the one from 2014 since they all work like that) so what ended up happening was that for every brush there was 6 brushes would be ontop of that almost inflating everything in the map like a balloon, map scale was also an issue that I couldn't fine-tune easily either so the scale is way off ontop of everything being inflated making the space inside the map very tiny! anyways heres the result of that and it looks almost nothing like footloose (plus I did add a bunch of random props in gmod for funsies and better visibility since the process involved replacing all the textures with dev ones that look very flat when in full-bright)
