Eirinjas Posted June 1, 2024 Report Posted June 1, 2024 I have an RTX 3060 Ti and I am seeing these purple blocks pop up when 64 bit color is enabled. It seems to happen on/around some sources of water. Switching to 32 Bit color fixes it. Also, arrows are passing through bodies. I noticed water arrows pass through undead. And gas arrows pass through human guards. I am running the latest version - 2.12 Images of the glitch: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uutkLhEysNkD2KXE0BB7zC-MspANgewq/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/17M3bdhSUW_aZiiKREPqKF-hNY3T9mhAa/view?usp=drive_link Quote

Maybe share the rest of your configuration and it might make it easier to narrow the issue down? What OS is it, what's the rest of the hardware config, etc... HMart Posted June 1, 2024 Report Posted June 1, 2024 Try to disable bloom that will probably make that error go away. If so, It seems Nvidia is now returning nan's (not a number) in their drivers for the bloom shader like AMD did some time ago. Quote
Eirinjas Posted June 1, 2024 Author Report Posted June 1, 2024 You are correct, HMart. Disabling bloom fixed the problem. Quote
Eirinjas Posted June 1, 2024 Author Report Posted June 1, 2024 So, besides the arrow passing through bodies problem, there is also an AI problem. I can knock a guard out with a gas arrow in complete obscurity with no one in sight or hearing distance and other guards will come running to that exact location. Quote
nbohr1more Posted June 1, 2024 Report Posted June 1, 2024 Sounds like you are on TDM 2.11. Did you do a fresh install or upgrade? Try deleting you PK4 files and re-running tdm_updater. Eirinjas Posted June 2, 2024 Author Report Posted June 2, 2024 (edited) I took your advice, nbohr1more, and deleted all the .PK4 files, and I deleted the game exe. I ran the updater and started the game. Arrows still pass right through people. Sometimes the arrows hit, but its not even 50/50. They mostly pass through. Edit: also, the purple block issue appeared again. 64 bit color on, bloom off. Edited June 2, 2024 by Eirinjas Quote
nbohr1more Posted June 2, 2024 Report Posted June 2, 2024 Thanks! Please open your console ( CTRL + ALT + Tilde ) then invoke: condump glitch.txt Then exit the game and gather your Darkmod.cfg and glitch.txt files from your darkmod folder and attach them to a reply. Eirinjas Posted June 4, 2024 Author Report Posted June 4, 2024 Ok, so, I had two different installations on my system. I've been in school since September and I mostly haven't played any games since then. I was trying to fix the wrong installation. My bad. I have since resolved the issue. Thanks for all your assistance. I will revisit the missions where I saw the purple blocks to see if they reappear, but I have not seen them in the mission I'm playing now, and the arrow issue does appear to be resolved. I have seen AI go on high alert for seemingly no reason, though. Maybe it is just the mission. 2 Quote
