The painters wife - inventory bug

Hi, I'm on a playthrough of the painters wife and I'm not sure if this is a general dark mod bug or something specific to this mission.

After about 30 mins of playtime, I can no longer frob anything in my inventory

Restarting the mission lets me do it, but for whatever reason it's happening on my particular save. I'd rather not restart if I can avoid it. I have tried restarting the game, quick load, full save and load. Doesn't seem to be a problem with any particular item, it's the same for everything - tried healing potions, map, readables etc. 

Has anyone else encountered this and is there a fix? Maybe something I can put into the console?

Oh shoot, this post fell under the radar, sorry @BenJ. I can take a look at this issue, but can you replicate it? Mind offering up a few more details? It would also be good to know if you are playing with any additional mods or add-ons

This sounds like the kind of thing that would happen after you frob an invalid readable. However, all such errors should've been fixed after I fixed all causes of console warnings in this FM.
