Neet New Game Coming

Ok, I cannot find anything on the net about this new game called GUN, its a Western FPS and it looks pretty choice. I believe it comes with an editor too. I was just down at the local GameStop and was reading a gaming magazine, not PC Gamer, and it had a big cover pic and article about the game.

My goodness, Spaghetti Western Video Games, I think I'm going to faint.....

Yes, that would appeal to me actually, I love cowboy movies. I's a shitload better than the aliens/zombies/WW2 setting of every other shooter ever made.

I'd never seen the internet spelling 'neet' before, until this thread, and it annoyed me. I wanted you to know that.

"Neet" -- Hmm, I hadn't seen that used before either. You should copyright that one and print it on t-shirts :)

As for us lazy folks... how about a link!!! A URL!!! Yes, I'd like to see this, but don't want to waste 3 clicks getting to it ;) I'd rather waste them here. heh. Regardless, I don't even see a game title listed here anyways.... so needless to say, I'm quite lost as to how you all know what each other is talking about.

EDIT: Ok, I was skimming the initial post. I didn't see "GUN" before (oops). Regardless, I still would've been too lazy to look it up ;)

IT LOOKS PRETTY CHOICE

I want a Pirate-themed FPS/RTS/Sim/Resource management hybrid, to be honest. Like Pirates, only, you know, FPS. So you walk around your ship and do all the stuff.

COWBOYS + PIRATES = $$$

I have thought about doing a Far Cry mod and changing the setting to 17th century Caribean islands and such, with pirates and buried treasure of course...

Arrgh me hearties, there be a good game..

I discovered a new cyber-word! Neet! Its all mine, AHAHAHHAHAHAHHA!!!, the riches, the glory! AHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!! Where does it come from, you all ask? Ahh, who can pinpoint the moment of creation, a thousand different notes blending into beautiful music....anyway, you all owe me four thousand dollars apiece, whoever used it.

;^}

I would be happy to play a Pirate FPS/RTS/whole enchilada but I have to say that I was literally daydreaming about a Western game a few weeks ago. Seeing the ad in that magazine was actually a little freaky this afternoon, de ja vu. But its distributed by Ineptivision, the folks who brought us the idiocy of Alien v. Predator if I remember correctly.

Oddity, if you like Westerns, and specifically Spaghettis, check out "Death Rides A Horse" with Lee Van Cleef. The cinematography is comparable with Leone's work. Netflix has it, if you have Netflix.

That had to be one of the worst game trailers i've seen, YES WE KNOW YOUR GAME'S NAME IS GUN, CAN WE PLEASE SEE SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE WORD 'GUN' FOR 2 MINUTES WHILE "HEY MAN, NICE SHOT" PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND?

That said, the concept should be fun, and neversoft isn't known for making bad games.

Oh man, you guys have got to be kidding that trailer was awful! I sat there the whole time thinking holy shit they better show me at least like 5 seconds of footage and not the same damn pictures over and over but i was disapointed =/

And the music sucked too <_<

I refuse to install the flash plug-in just to see a terrible trailer. Can anyone tell if it has an editor or not? I tried doing a search for article but nothing on the Net but bits and bytes. I wish I could remember the magazine I saw it in, it was all over the cover and had a big article inside. Dang.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
