DarkRadiant package for Alpine Linux (MUSL libc)

I have build and am packaging DarkRadiant v3.9.0 for Alpine Linux via APKBUILD.

The package and build process was pretty straight-forward, minus MUSL libc not having an implementation of execinfo.h (nor a stub), so I needed to patch that out as well as most of the SegFaultHandler logic.

Otherwise, it runs and seems to work fine locally, which is exciting.

 

An issue I was not able to resolve, however, was getting all the tests in the testsuite to behave in our headless CI runners.

I am unsure if there needs to be any packages defined in the checkdepends that are runtime dependencies for the checks, and I am unsure if wrapping the check in xvfb-run and vglrun is supported/tested against, or if there is a better way the team knows to test in headless.

 

Once I get this merged, I plan on building and packaging TheDarkMod itself, which I will likely seek guidance with.

Thanks for those!

I had read them before starting packaging DarkRadiant and they were helpful for sure.

 

However, I still can't get the testsuite to behave, and ideally, Alpine wants the tests passing properly (not faked/skipped/disabled), unlike how I currently have to skip them all.

      Things have been so bad these days for me...
      Just a year ago, I've been feeling dizzy, I thought it was nothing, today's stress, that type of thing, went to sleep...Still dizzy! 9 more days dizzy, went to doctor (I would have gone on the first day if NOT for the long appointment time)
      Said it may be Neck Dizziness...I did exercises for 6 months, no changes.
      Went to a Physical Therapist, went to another, no changes.
      I've asked my doctor for a full check this time.
      I hated yesteryear so much due to personal reasons, this year might be the same.
      To be brutally honest, I'd rather have cancer or/and chronic pain than suffer dizziness any second longer, especially when nothing helps.
      Hard to enjoy Thief when you're dizzy so I was hoping this year, Winter will be best for me.

      Is there a script command to make a screenshot?
      I just though it could be interesting to be able to create a screenshot at a certain point in time. Then use that screenshot possibly in a debrief.
      I guess the second question is: Can you use a (in-game made) screenshot in a (debrief) gui?
