They have my Bloodlines Unofficial Patch there, even in the plus version, with no licensing issues.

The issues were rather that some people here thought that TDM couldn't be offered in compliance with Steams license regulations, which, frankly, seemed a bit weird, as most (all?) other games didn't seem to have a problem with that.

I believe this might be true, but GOG probably goes another route: my patches or in case it happens The Dark Mod are counted as "mods" for games, Bloodlines and Doom 3 respectively, for which GOG already has the distribution rights.

TBH, I always wondered a bit about GOG's licensing/rights situation. They do things I would never have thought would be possible, considering the rights the owners of the original games/I.P.'s/whatever have. Like, applying some unofficial, community made patches to games, and then selling them on their store. I really can't imagine that the publishers are alright with that.

On the other hand, it probably means that there won't be such a licensing drama with TDM, if GOG don't really care about it.

As far as I know even Steam does this with some of the older games...

I've seen this with the Gothic games, but, they have the OK from the publisher. Or, better said, the publisher pushed versions which have these patches onto Steam.

Not sure how it is with GOG. There are many games which have these unofficial patches applied. The Thief games, for example, come with TFix. I'm not sure if Square Enix (or whoever owns Thief these days) know about that.

if TDM gets on gog will that mean it will use gog's installer thing?

I imagine the end user would have a choice, but having it on GoG would take the strain of all the current mirrors that are doing out of thier pockets.

Could the missions be hosted on GOG as well, or just the mod itself?

The best thing about not mapping more than like every other year is the awesome feeling to see how far TDM has gotten in all appartments. I can just create some parallaxing cobblestones and walk to and fro and just let the jaw drop

Hey, was trying to use the TDM_Update.exe file, but when I do it doesn't do anything! It just goes back to 2.12. I'm trying to run Luitenant 4, but it won't update, so I can't play it. What am I doing wrong?

Been away for quite a long time, didn't have much free time sadly, but the little that I had I was able to play a Romhack for Ocarina of Time called "Sands of Time".
It's great, fun, rather hard but too but I like it (except when it's way too tedious, only some parts are, not all of them)
Although the reason I'm sharing this is...Listen to the music, I've timestamped it to 27:56, it's titled "Memories Lost".
Doesn't it sound so serene, so melodic...So Thief-like? It's fantastic, I love it, it reminded me of Thief and how much I want to get back to it, so hopefully this month or the next, I will have a lot of free time to play it.
I can't wait to try that new big Thief campaign, The Black Parade, it seems to be promising.
No spoilers please, but can someone tell me if it has horror elements? Or better yet, horror mission...Or even missionS?

Just managed to get the true ending of Silksong. I am really happy the true ending wasn't as hard to get as the one in its predecessor, which I never managed to achieve. 😄 Awesome game! Loved almost every bit of it.
