I think people usually say which TDM version to use.
If not, then it is assumed to be the latest official release = "default" version selected in tdm_installer.

sorry - doesn´t do on my installs 
none other - than a 1 to 1 copy off the install the save came from - loads the save
 

EDIT !!! oh man what a fool i am !!!
the 1-to-1-copy made me think - 
for any copy of a game with saves - I need to remember if there an additional mod has been installed while played .
EDIT : P.s. think the biggest Problem was a Downgrade after an Update without Copying beforehand !
a downhrade will still have differences to correct install and therefor don´t accept saves !?

never noticed a problem as long the tdm-version was ok (perhabs because i started mission anew when i added one .)I need to test whether it makes a difference if they are added as pk.4 or in the Snatchers Mod-Pack JSMG. Normally, I have 2 standard versions – so hopefully it shouldn’t be too difficult to revive the old saved games. Using the New Angel Loader could also be helpful.
So much hassle/trouble could have been avoided

Blood decal is projected onto "lightgem_surface", which is very internal thing.
Interestingly, this is actually refression caused by r_decalInteractive.

I'll try to add some filter for this.
UPDATE: Fixed in svn rev 17492.

The floating blood decal issue look like it might be related to water entities.

Yep. Me too. Doesn't happen when frobbing an object, but if I try to long-frob empty space I get an immediate segfault and CTD.

 

edit: can confirm that it happens in both Linux and Windows.

@stgatilovApolgies if this was mentioned but I am having a problem if an error is posted to the console. 
I get a black screen and a freeze if the level tried to load with an error in its map.script file (probably in any script file actually.)

The error shows up in the log for example :
 ERROR:Function 'spiderweb_enter' has the wrong number of parameters for function call from 'test_web1'
--------------------------------------
WARNING:idSession: triggering mainmenu watchdog

But it doesnt do the previous behavior of kicking you out of the map and posting the error. It just freezes. :(

When you set in game settings Hold Frob/Interact to TDM(inv), it's reversed. So then short frob on empty space creates a crash and long frob does not.

When you set it to disabled you can play normally.

So I would say it's related to the "Use Inv. Item" command with the mouse

Btw. I just noticed that you can drop the spyglass on the ground. You cannot do that to the compass and lantern, so it seems illogical. Well I guess this is something for 2.15 maybe.

I would like to know if the new door controls had any influence on the new frob styles. I would like to have a beta where the new door controls can be completely disabled (as if the feature never existed).

I do not understand why in 2.13 switches and levers get triggered "on key press" whereas in the 2.14 betas they get triggered "on key release", regardless of the frob control style. I just noticed the script event frob() no longer works on doors, switches and levers.

Going for both new frob styles and new door controls in the same round was probably too much. I want to help but I no longer can guess why some things are happening.

I wonder if this issue I raised is related: https://bugs.thedarkmod.com/view.php?id=6686

I don't remember the game being this flaky if scripts had errors in them...

beta214-06 is available, mainly with the fix for this.

The exact way how it kicks you out to the menu is not very reliable in multithreaded case.

Any idea when the issue started happening?

      Well, this is just sad...I was not able to play any Thief or TDM whatsoever, why? Too busy the past 2 months, this month I'm not as busy BUT it's also very heaty in my place.
      I can't play Thief when it's not at least 15c or lower, the game demands to be played when it's cold for...Well, may sound stupid but I'll just say it, for that "immersion".
      It's kinda like playing Quake during Summer, which unless it's the Summer Jam mod, I don't think it's as fun.

      The preliminary working titles for the missions in my now-in-development Partners in Crime series: 
      - Partners in Crime 1: A Mere Trinket
      - Partners in Crime 2: Beacon Burglary
      - Partners in Crime 3: In the Bleak Midwinter
      - Partners in Crime 4 (5 ?): Fishy Dealings
      - Partners in Crime 5 (4 ?): A Thief in the Night

      No title stealing, please.  In return, I promise to finish these. I do stress the preliminary part. Beyond the broad strokes storyline, plot, objectives, briefings and the (currently built) layouts of these FMs, I haven't fully decided about every single detail yet, including the exact order of the missions (4 and 5 might switch places, with the story adjusted accordingly). I want the overall plot to be plotted out a bit in advance and not suffer too much from inserting prequels later. I also prefer to let my FM building fill out part of the details naturally.

      Currently working on the second FM, and once I do enough work on the current prototype, I'll work on the first one, until I get that one released. Then complete the second one, get that one ready for release (hopefully) a few months later, and so on. I want most of the early missions to be fairly small and confined, and get a bit bigger as I grow more confident in my FM making skills.

      Though there is an overarching storyline to this series, the missions themselves are mostly episodic in nature. They factor into the character development of the two main characters I'll have in the series, but it's the kind of continuity where the mission's own plot and story wouldn't depend on it.
