FM author resources (Objects, Textures, Sounds) on Thief Guild

Hi everyone,

After the success with Thief FM repository, we are slowly starting a new project at Thief Guild - hosting of FM resources.

But we don't want to be limited to Thief series. The Dark Mod is included from start.

If you are willing to participate and submit your models (and you're not scared of FTP client programs), please contact me over PM or Discord.

 

FAQ:

1. What's the goal?

The ultimate goal is to create a FM resource browser with a search engine. First phase of the project is to collect the files and the browser will be provided in the future.

2. How can I submit the files?

Please contact me, and we will arrange the access over FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

3. Where are the files hosted?

On Thief Guild Download Server.

4. How much space do you have?

As much as the Thief Guild donations allow us.

For example, currently we have plenty of space, and we still have funds to multiply the space even more.

Currently, we host ALL Thief FMs using 66+GB of our 1TB storage.

@Marzec do you only support models at the moment? Does it matter what the file type is?  Frequently TDM assets are shared as a .pk4 file (basically a renamed zip file).

Wow, this is amazing and will be fantastic!  
From time to time I look for new missions on ladyjo1 or ttlg.de  
(most others actually don't seem to be interested in offering new missions)  
so this will be a wonderful address to look for overlooked topics.  
(It will be interesting to see whether the renaming will make it difficult to recognize whether a mission is already with me or not)
As far as I have looked at it, they are currently only listed (following your link).  
If you download them from there: do you then have to sort them manually? (into your own folders)  
or maybe does "AngelLoader" recognize where they belong?

The discussion with Konrad gave the impression
that they are sorted according to game and release year.
In addition, it is not yet stated for the resources/objects which game they belong to
(maybe this doesn’t matter for T1, TG, or T2, but certainly for TDM/DarkRadiant).
Do you know if this will be done in the future?

For newer missions, it will be important to know whether the new T2Fix_1.28 is needed
( ? do older missions now work with T2Fix_1.28 - or are 2 installations still required ? )

If you download the missions, put them into a dedicated folder, and then configure this folder in AngelLoader (or FMSel) settings. Those two programs will recognize which mission belongs to T1/T2/T3.
