Can someone remind me which mission didn't start with an in-game map, but rather the player has to pick it up..?

I ask because I am looking to place map inside a building, and only want to player to have the map at that point.

Both Lieutenant 1 and 4 have that feature.

So the maps in Lt1/4 and Displacement, are all single page maps. Is it possible to have a single map entity that has multiple pages, like a book or a stack of sheets..?

It's been a long time but I believe A House of Locked Secrets had maps you pick up (more than 1 page in the pickup).

The Wiki entry on In-game Map Entities focuses on just one page maps (replacing a dummy custom inventory item with a map_of item), but the script could be modified to simply add multiple "map_of" entities simultaneously from one frob, I think. That would result in multiple map pages from the player's POV (multiple presses of m would just shuffle through map pages), even though they'd technically be multiple individual map items in inventory.

This strikes me as not the best idea maybe. You should consider treating each "page" of your in game maps as a different item.

Then you avoid the issue of have to design your gui to have page “turn” indicators and you avoid the annoyance for players of have to "flip" to the map they actually want whenever they open it.

Plus when you have multiple maps in inventory and you have one open, the page turn command already works to cycle through available player maps.

Baal mentioned this command also, I have never really used it in all these years, till now. So checking the menu its the M key. But for me it isn't working as intended. When I hit the M key it brings up the first map, then when I hit the key a second time it brings up the in-game cursor but not the second map.

So on a regular basis I try to start building something in Darkradiant but very quickly I loose interest and give up.
      I tend to
create a room, position an ai in it (or first ai, then room, probably better) put a light in it Put some stuff in it test the room in tdm Now I had this new idea:
Start of with a gigantic room. To skip the importance of sealing for the time being and to think broader than one room. Then just use ground without wall, just to visualise the structure of the level.  Then just use prefab walls and other elements (arches, etc.). Just building area's that aren't enclosed. I can always close them at a later point. Maybe this is all very logical from a mappers perspective, but tdm is the first game where I have done any kind of real mapping and I always stop at the start. It just takes too long to make something exciting.
I want to build something at some point, because over time I accumulated lots of ideas.

It would be nice to have a link to the forum thread of a mission in download section, rather than having to search for it manually, like on Thief Guild.

Anaglypta , floral and damask wallpaper look great in older homes
It’s rare to see anyone using “shader not found” wallpaper in their house

Terribly difficult juggling map designing with work, but I'm still alive and chipping away at something very special. I'm actually making a collaboration of sorts with a friend, I make the map itself and he acts as my "Chief Scope Creep Consultant" that checks in every so often to make sure this project isn't getting out of hand. It's a good system!
