RetroSpace does look pretty darn cool. I think I might just get it this weekend

Did you get it and is it good?

Yeah, and it is pretty good so far. I'm not that far into it, but I'm having a lot of fun with it.

It's a lot like Prey, except you are a janitor :D

Yeah, I noticed this from the intro, too. however:

Spoiler

Kurt Hectic from MDK was a janitor as well...and he was happy with his life! :)

By the Builder! My CPU/GPU cannot handle this well and there is no PS4 version. 😭 😭 😭

That would mean I either (if possible at all, I do not know this, my rig is from 2015) would have to upgrade my workstation or I would need to buy a PS5, and somehow I do not feel like doing any of this as I rarely find newer (performance heavier) games these days I would like to play.

It's interesting that the textures are really low, while the game seems to have a lot of details.

Yeah, I noticed this, too, lots of newer features mixed with low-res graphics, but it seems to fit perfectly together.

Oooh... MDK. I remember that one.

"Murder, Death, Kill", wasn't it?

Don*t recall this, but I understood from the second game, that Kurt Hectic never wanted to be a hero!

I was playing Doom 3, and I learned how to edit maps text-by-text, this should help me a lot with finding secrets and locations I hope.
That is, if I feel sneaky and greedy...Which I always do, can't get enough 100% a mission.

So on a regular basis I try to start building something in Darkradiant but very quickly I loose interest and give up.
      I tend to
create a room, position an ai in it (or first ai, then room, probably better) put a light in it Put some stuff in it test the room in tdm Now I had this new idea:
Start of with a gigantic room. To skip the importance of sealing for the time being and to think broader than one room. Then just use ground without wall, just to visualise the structure of the level.  Then just use prefab walls and other elements (arches, etc.). Just building area's that aren't enclosed. I can always close them at a later point. Maybe this is all very logical from a mappers perspective, but tdm is the first game where I have done any kind of real mapping and I always stop at the start. It just takes too long to make something exciting.
I want to build something at some point, because over time I accumulated lots of ideas.

It would be nice to have a link to the forum thread of a mission in download section, rather than having to search for it manually, like on Thief Guild.

Anaglypta , floral and damask wallpaper look great in older homes
It’s rare to see anyone using “shader not found” wallpaper in their house

Terribly difficult juggling map designing with work, but I'm still alive and chipping away at something very special. I'm actually making a collaboration of sorts with a friend, I make the map itself and he acts as my "Chief Scope Creep Consultant" that checks in every so often to make sure this project isn't getting out of hand. It's a good system!
