Well, speaking of what NH wrote, I got such moments all the time. In nightmares. In fact... I can as well go to sleep at the couch, not planning to sleep really, and then I have the nightmare like that, I rush into it(sounds crazy, but I love to see something impossible), and usually in such couch nightmares I sit on a couch in the nightmare too, so when I wake up, I need 6 minutes to recover and understand that I'm back to the real world. I doubt it is what happened to you, but this is what happened to me once. It was, of course, the night, and I didn't notice as I went to sleep in a sofa. Then I see the image of my mother. (she was in a different city actually, but I didn't think about it back then)Pretty blurred. She holds a sandwich. I'm really hungry. I reach for the sandwich, and she dissapears. But then appers again. Starts shouting. SOmething about me being a bad kid. Then I stare into nothing. Finaly, I realize I just awoke from the nightmare. And I also very hungry and want that sandwich.

And I have dozens of those nightmares, maybe because I like them. In my worst nightmare I got my own eye moved out of the socket, but still seeing by it, and at the same time a group of doctors put a bull's eye in the socket, and now I see by the bull's eye and by the eye held in someone's hand. Very bizzare. Just a wonderful experience of abnormality... I also have to add that at that time my knowledge of biology was highly low, so replacing one eye with another wasn't something special. Besides, in one of the parts of the nightmare, I saw that bull. And later, I like knew it was its eye...

Then there was a nightmare about that mirror... OK, enough nightmares, I had too many of them...

Okay, maybe I'm a little crazy actually, but I just want to point out that sometimes, especially at night, you may not distinguish reality from nightmares. I had times when I hear strange sounds and see strange images. I hear balls rolling somewhere. SOmeone banging on the window (remember Raven by Edgar Poe), but when I open it, no one... Strange sounds, strange lights. Sometimes, even in bright daylight, my dad is far, and I hear his voice for a split second. Then I can't decide whether it's my imagination or not... And it's not like I throught of him at the moment. Just doing the homework. And then, a word, usualy my name, loud and clear, like he normaly speaks...

Well, if no one wants to be as crazy as me, watch less horror movies, don't read at night, and keep away from the game called heXen.

Too late to save us but try to understand

The seas were empty -- there was hunger in the land

We let the madmen write the golden rules

We were just Children of the Moon

We're lost in the middle of a hopeless world

Children, Children of the Moon watch the world go by

Children, Children of the Moon are hiding from the Sun and the Sky

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
