I have no idea how hey were done in King Kong.

I agree there should be a clothed verson for the cities, and the idea of the warriors wearing animal ribcages and skulls for armour is a good one also. It could look pretty striking.

The ones in cities would probably not want to be naked to avoid attracting attention. If we did this, then I think seeing them naked in the forest would have a greater impact, seeing the pagans in their natural habitat in a culture very alien compared to what you see in the city.

 

This might be due to cultural background as well, but but going naked in a citiy where everybody else is wearing clothes, might be considered more humiliating then anything else. Of course I don't know how somebody would think who is raised like that and even the celts were certainly not running around naked all the time.

 

Question is, can these models be redressed with different skins? I'm not sure but I thought Spring mentioned something like this. So if we provide different skins, for city and environmental szenarios it would be much more logical and consistent.

(Dirt, mud, facepaint, etc) Or has magic and time made them slightly different from other people? Or did they come from another country altogether?

Well as a nudist I can tell you that far from humility, those of us who grew up like that actually can feel more comfortable that way, even if everyone around us is clothed - but of course we don't do that in general public for the same reasons these pagans probably wouldn't - its too out of place.

As for their ethenticity, I think it's too stereotyping to make them look like blacks or asians or something. If anything, they are the native inhabitants, much like the celts were in Britain, and it's outside influences which have come in with new ways and new religions, which the pagans have not accepted, and still stick to their old ways.

I can just make separate verisons using the same base model. A nude one, one with basic clothing, and one with the animal bones.

I really can't discern any detail from those shots. Anyway, I think these a little too much like cavemen or something. THE pagans aren't quite that backward. THey dont' have to look like they've dipped their hair in a bucket of shit.

Are the naked versions going to be people who dont' actually fight, and so have no strong build, or are they actually going to be the fighter pagans when they aren't wearing anything, and so should have a strong build?

A good fighter doesn't neccessarily have to be looking strong. It depends on reflexes, techniques and determindeness more then on physical strength. Of course physical strength helps a lot though.

Definitely. The naked ones are probably those that live furthest away from the city. I agree they should be dirtied up more, with interesting ornamentation--jewellery, bones, feathers, leather straps, etc.

I think Oddity's right. These are the native peoples of the land. Like the Celts when the Romans came, or the Native Americans when the Spanish came. They have been pushed back and marginalized in much the same way.

I think they were just always cold - a loin cloth isn't going to change that. There's a celtic ruin on top of a mountain about ten miles from my old house in north wales, it's the windiest and most foul weather place I've ever been. So it didn't seem to bother them that much.

Just wanted to add my voice to the "nudity is fine with me" choir, makes for a refreshing change on what you usually see. I remember downloading a model replacer for Morrowind that offered a nude version (of both sexes), as well as one with undercloth. I stuck with the nude version, mostly because it made the game a tad more unique.

 

Nice work oDDity, double props for not going all Lara Croft on her.

 

As for her build, I agree a bit more muscle would suit her. Not Schwarzenegger of course, muscle that is build from stamina and speed, rather. Bruce Lee style, if you want. Athletic. Tattoos, dirt, paint, some feathers... should be nice.

I agree odd. I really don't see what other guys see in the women they lust after these days. I much prefer someone who looks 'real', with some meat on her bones. Maybe these 'manufactured' women make guys think of their first girlfriend...the blow up doll.

I don't know about caking them with dirt. Thet're not filthy animals, they do have access to water, and the women especially in all cultures kept themselves clean.
