Some New Screens Of One Of The Greatest Games Series

I really enjoyed LoZ: A Link to the Past and LoZ: Link's Awakening, but I was really turned off to the series by LoZ: Orcarina of Time, because it used prefab cookie-cutter caves for the secrets. (in contrast LoZ:ALttP felt like it had infinite secrets, each special and unique) Have they fixed that in later Zelda games or do they still have any cloned areas?

Yeah it is. Exactly the same reason why I kept my GC too. It's out on both the GC and the Wii. I would've got rid of my GC ages ago if there wasn't a new Zelda or if it had completely moved to the Wii.

I really have to say, I played through Windwaker (more like suffered) and I didn't get a lot of satisfaction out of it. Nothing felt that new, and in fact, a lot of the puzzles I already remembered from Ocarina of Time. I even detested exploration because as much fun as sea-travel was at first...it got old, quick. The game felt like a chore and a rehash, not to mention it felt like a children's cartoon. I have my hopes for Twilight Princess, but I'll wait for reviews. I personally like Link to the Past best and if it's going to simply be a rehash of the same experience, I think I'll stick to the older games.

I know what you mean. I played the other way around TWW then OoT. I thought a lot of the puzzles, bad guys etc was similar. However the two have different vibes. They are both exploration / adventure games in different settings. Land and water.

Glidoran, yeah some of TWW was like that with regards to the cookie cutter thing. However it never bothered me as I found so many different things to do etc, I hardly noticed. There are more different features, some may say gimmicks, with the next Zelda according to what has been previewed so far.

I used to be a fan of the RE games. I played 1,2,3 and COde Veronica to death. I just got bored of them, and despite RE4 being a lot different in gameplay style I just wasn't interested anymore.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
