Crysis multiplayer fubared

Unstoppable

Oh no! Crysis multiplayer was down on launch? That's... that's... that's a crisis! :o

Honestly, I didn't know it was out yet. Nor did I care.

My games | Public Service Announcement: TDM is not set in the Thief universe. The city in which it takes place is not the City from Thief. The player character is not called Garrett. Any person who contradicts these facts will be subjected to disapproving stares.

No you don't need the internet to install it. Just to logon to multiplayer servers so your key is authenticated. Also the game is pure sublime.

This game is gonna do what Halo did for the Xbox. It's gonna put PC's past consoles for years to come. Words can't describe how good this game is. It has everything you ever wanted in a game.

Half Life 2 seems like kid stuff after playing Crysis for the last 6 hours nonstop. The story, graphics, gameplay, customization, A.I., missions, hell the game is just a gem. My review is 10 out of 10. Game of the Year. Hell this game I think just surpassed Deus Ex as my favorite all time game.

If you're reading this I suggest you go buy the game now! GOGOGOGO :wacko:^_^

You like everything, so that's no reccomendation.

:D

I heard lots of good things, but I bet it won't run on Linux. Meh, more free time to work on TDM for me..

That's not true I don't like some games. Like console games.

What, exactly, constitutes a console game? A lot of games these days are multiplatform and you can bet your sweet ass that Crysis is going to come out on at least one of the consoles, thus rendering it a console game. Will you start hating it when it does?

If Crysis comes on any of the current consoles it'll have to be down scaled a lot. At best it'll probably look like the last far cry game released on xbox 360. Although i'm not a fan of playing FPS with a gamepad.

I think the game-play is great. Wide-open landscapes and lot's of places to explore, much bigger than far cry. Adds a lot of replay value. The nano-suites gives you predator/commando type of abilities but your not over-powered, if you play at least on hard that is.

It's most of the time playing stealth, hide and look for creative ways to get to an objective. I also don't use quicksaves which creates more tension and playtime because you play more carefully. The story and dialog are ok, not as good as HL2 but sufficient to support the gameplay. I haven't played MP yet.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
