Gildoran Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 P.D: This Game will be greate!!! And giving some ideas: What about online games support? Two Teams: Team 1= Thief Team , Team 2= The Castle Wariors. You should check out Thievery or NightBlade. I wouldn't anticipate online play from TDM; it's difficult enough to code a full single-player mod without having to worry about things like client prediction or propagating state through a network. New Horizon Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Yes, to echo Gildoran's comment. We're not interested in Multiplayer. This has been and will be a single player mod. After release, the fan community may try to Modify it and make a multiplayer version, but that won't be done by us. Quote
STiFU Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 Thievery was awfull. Actually the only good multiplayer stealth game was Splinter Cell, but that is already too intense. You could feel and hear your heart beating when you played that game. I could never play it longer than two rounds... Stealth is just not that suitable for multiplayer. Quote
demagogue Posted January 3, 2008 Report Posted January 3, 2008 I'd think the better case for TDM multiplayer wouldn't be "vs" style but co-op, 2 or more thieves teaming up to take on a big FM together. That remains untested as to its suitability for the gameplay. I won't hold my breath to see it any time soon, but the modability of D3 and the Open-Dromed project at least make it something potentially on the horizon, something at least now in the realm of distant possibility. Quote What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.
Schatten Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Thanks, rhp07. If I remember correctly, this track was one of the first few I submitted when applying here for ambient works. I use Jeskola Buzz for creating my stuff, which is a free, powerfull (if sometimes buggy) softsynth/sampler with a tracker based interface. The bassline itself is a simple square-wave->phaser->reverb setup: I've set two different square OSCs to a random variation in pulse width, volume and mix, which creates the rumbling distortion. The phaser gives it some stereo depth and body, the verb is used to smoothen the effect and create the spacey feel. Feel free to sample anything of my tracks. As long as you don't use it commercially, I don't have a problem with that. Link some of your tracks too, if you like. Quote
rhp07 Posted January 14, 2008 Author Report Posted January 14, 2008 Thanks all! Well multiplayer wasn't a good idea, well. What I like in this game is the medieval feeling, DON'T LOOSE IT! No ghosts, no fantasy. How will it be? Quote
Gildoran Posted January 14, 2008 Report Posted January 14, 2008 Map authors will be able to make whatever they prefer, be that medieval, Victorian and/or fantasy. Quote
Andrey Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I create ambient tracks and music. I use very cool programm Reason. Quote http://darkfate.org
