Woohoo, new 22" LCD, 1680x1050, starting to feel spoiled

Dark Radiant beautifully can spread across multiple monitors (haven't tried more than two, but due to the way it works on two I'm confident it would work with more), so now with this new screen I can really spread out even more and edit just that much easier.

I'm on a laptop, so the laptop screen is now the tiny one, only 1280x800, and I like to use that one for the 3D view, with all the editing windows here on the main large screen (with DR in windowed view of course)

I think the only way to have four or six screens (besides figuring how to mount them around the desk on floating mount arms or whatever) is to have a motherboard with multiple video card slots so you can run two or three video cards at the same time, using both video outs on each one.

Anyone out there had more than two screens running?

You could just get a bunch of old and cheap PCI video cards, those can be used for multi-monitor. But you'd need a desktop for that, I don't think there are any PCMCIA video cards...

Here's a couple pics, one with the setup I described, the second with the 3D view spread across both screens. Last is a short vid of me flying around in the wide 3D view.

Haha! Yes, my computer desk setup is far from ideal, but I'm comfortable enough with it actually. Our apartment is pretty tiny and there's not much room for anything (we can't get a full size couch in here, a double bed is the maximum that will fit, our kitchen table is tiny, etc).

Boy that looks fun. Makes dromed look like DR's pet chihuahua by comparison.

Watch out for that thunderstorm on the way, though! ^_^

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

I often wonder what hardcore DromEd junkies will think of DR (disregarding all side issues of loyalty, familiarity, etc). An editor that is flexible, powerful, slick... and if it doesn't do something you want it to, you can fix it.

On a semi-related note, I just finished The Den, the last act of Gaetane's L'Arsene series. I cannot even fathom what she'll do with DR and TDM (here's hoping The Black Frog doesn't burn her out). She's a madwoman!

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
