Voice Acting. Demand?

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love the work you guys are doing for Thief. The genre was definitely due for some new, and refreshing gameplay. (seeing as how eidos has abandoned the "medeival" theme) In my opinion, this mod looks a lot better than Deadly Shadows and looks to have a lot more potential. Anyhow, to the point. I would lend a hand in voice acting, however I do not know what you are looking for, if anything. If there isn't really a demand for it, then I guess there really is no need to get the mic out. So just let me know if you do need some samples of a particular style. I would be more than happy to perform them to my best.

I'll be recording actors locally with my home studio setup, better quality control that way, but I am always interested in hearing samples.

I've read a few other posts, and it looks to me you'd rather not take any other vocalist positions outside of your community. However I understand, it would be rather difficult to work over distance. Ill still be anxious to see the outcome of all of this! Keep up the fantastic work!

Well, as I said in my previous post, I will listen to submissions. So please private message me with some samples of work you've done, the software you use and what type of microphone you have. I have accepted actors who have submitted work to me in the past, but sadly....as is usually the case with these types of projects...they drop off the face of the earth and never deliver a single file to me.

 

You have to understand, a lot of folks suspect that a community project will take anything that's recorded on a $5 microphone, but I'm aiming a bit higher than that. It is possible to get good quality without a $900 mic, but I need to hear that you can do it first.

 

If you're serious about helping out with a project like this, you need to be willing to sell yourself a little harder than you're currently trying. SHOW us that you're capable, serious, and dedicated.
