  1. Sniper Elite Anybody?

    Sniper Elite is one of the best games I've played last year. I really liked the stealthy aspects and also the graphics were surprisingly nice:)

    Also a cool function is the bullet cam, when you will get a one shot kill the camera follows the bullet in slowmotion to the point of impact.

     

    Another good thing is that the AI tries to flank you and sneak up uppon you from behind, and not straight running towards you:)

     

    Only drawback is that there seems to be noo Karabiner 98 in the game, kind of a pitty, like that rifle very much. But starting with a G43 makes up a lot:)

     

    Hidden and Dangerous II is one of the best games I've played ever. It's nice and realistic, and you can snipe as much as you want.

    1st: GrotFest mod, low poly

    2nd: Broken Sky, medium poly (game)

    3rd: Illustrations for a book ( not mentioned in the previous list)

     

    Besides that I have a school project to take care off.

     

     

    BUT *if* the model is interesting enough I could give it a try, for both.

    Nice models? Do you play Red Orchestra? The RO team are WW2 fanatics and consequently RO has very detailed WW2 armour and weaponary. I think you'd like it. Check out the new Ostfront game and models.

     

    But you should ditch this WW2 lark and do some TDM modelling.

     

    I agree, you should join us and make some use of your modeling skill instead of just for fun.

    We don't require any army stuff, but it'd do you good to branch out into other areas.

     

     

    @Subjective effect: I played that mod, like it VERY much. I just lacked the original UT key.

     

    @ both. I currently have two game projects running. So if you still like my work I'll get back to you as soon as I finish one of them.

    Still no idea why you're posting this stuff here instead of some CG forum like CGtalk or 3d buzz or something, but yes, it's very good.

    Your obvious obsession with war and the machinery of death is rather dubious though <_<

     

     

    hahaha its just an interesting topic for me, I cant help it.

     

    But to answer your question, it allready is on CGtalk, Military-Meshes, EWnet community, Deviantart, Heroes in Feldgrau, Axis history Forums and a load of others.

    But I share my work with everybody, not only two forums.

    Well, I have been away for quite some time. I am very busy in school and some other projects I'm working on, but I thought I let you see me newest models for those who like them :)

    Well its about finished now, only a couple of things left to do:

     

    -Model the bomb release

    -Model the attachement of the wing to the fuselage

    -Some minor color touchups maybe

    -Adding a background

     

    And that is about the max my machine can handle right now

    For applications I would choose a Pentium IV

     

    But for games I've heard AMD is better....

     

    I own a Pentium IV 3,2Ghz though :)

     

     

     

    But nowadays Videocards/memory and HDD's are more important for the performance also.

    Your wife is right about the first one, the mouth is a bit to low, that is why that one looks a bit out of proportion :)

     

    And the feet are really that way, I double checked it before drawing them :)

    Do it my way:

     

    Download every game you like to play, and if it's really good *then* buy it.

     

    That way you will only support good releases which were put a lot of effort in.

    And you can also try if you liek a game or not before buying it.

     

    Ofcourse games that will be an instant hit like STALKER and Operation Flashpoint 2 I will buy without downloading.

    I'm using a lot of refference photos and sites to get the best look.

    I am planning to put in as much detail as possible with the program without getting a too heavy load on my system :)

     

    I'm using Sketchup 4 by @last software

    Eh, let him post. If he's here then you can assume he's at least half interested in the mod.

     

    And it looks sorta like he's using SketchUp to me.

    You guessed correclty. I use Sketchup 4.0 indeed.

    Allthough it isnt entirely sufficient for these kinds of shapes I see it as a challenge to get the bottom out of a program :)

     

    And concerning the mod. I'm a huge fan of the Thief series. That is why I joined this board. I really like the models and artwork so far and I am confident I will very much like this mod to.
