  1. Do you have an alternative system available for testing to see if it's your user account?

    Not that I know of.

    If all else fails, we can try to use the SVN Repository Browser (right-click on a darkmod folder > SVN > Repository Browser).

    You can drag several files from Windows Explorer to a target folder in the repo browser. TortoiseSVN will ask you for your commit message then. Can you try this out?

    I tried dragging the modified file into the materials folder in the Repository Browser but got the same error as before.

    If even this fails, we can resort to you sending me the files to let me do the commit.

    I guess that will be the case. I'll prepare a zip for you.

  2. There's nothing after the "'start commit' hook failed with error output:" line.

    Yes, I'm using TortoiseSVN and I have a password

    but it didn't ask for it.

    FYI, it displays the error after 104 bytes transfered.

  3. Before I commit can someone double-check to see if the following is okay?:

    Texures renamed: snow_rough01

    Will add this to the current tdm_nature_snow.mtr file:

    // Author: Dziarsky

    textures/darkmod/nature/snow/snow_rough01

    {

    surftype15

    description "snow"

    qer_editorimage    textures/darkmod/nature/snow/snow_rough01_ed

    diffusemap           textures/darkmod/nature/snow/snow_rough01_d

    specularmap         textures/darkmod/nature/snow/snow_rough01_s

    bumpmap             textures/darkmod/nature/snow/snow_rough01_local

    }

  4. Okay, before I commit anything there's something that bothers me.

    According to the Wiki if there's a red exclamation mark over a file it means that the file have been modified by me.

    I'm seeing this mark on several map files:

    //////////////////////////

    maps\city_area.ass32

    maps\city_area.cm

    maps\city_area.proc

    maps\test\baddcog.cm

    maps\test\cutscene.cm

    maps\test\pool.cm

    \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

    But I don't remember making any changes to those files other than testing them out, and I don't want to commit anything if it's going to cause problems later on.

    I'm thinking about nameing the textures "shiny_snow01" or "rough_snow01", does that sound good?

  5. FINALLY!!

    It completed at revision: 4423

    BTW, how would I go about trying out some of the maps and features?

    I tried the dmlauncher.exe but it claimed that it couldn't load the default.cfg file.

    --------------------------------------<BR>Unknown command 'vid_restart'<BR>idRenderSystem::Shutdown()<BR>Shutting down OpenGL subsystem<BR>...shutting down QGL<BR>Couldn't load default.cfg<BR><BR>

    Any ideas?

  6. Is the darkmod folder locked? I can't seem to update. It's been idle at 0kb/s in the /textures/stone/brick/ and when I try 'clean up' it says that a certain .tga file is "not under version control." :huh:

    Is there any way I can unlock it?

    ~Daniel

  7. Whoops! I totally forgot about running it t

    hrough the Start menu. :blush:

    Now I can't download the Platform SDK because the Windows validation tool keeps returning an error due to a "technical difficulty". <_<

    Is there anyway someone can provide the SDK on the Darkmod FTP or something?

    ~Daniel

    Here's the link to the SDK download page:
